There is growing speculation that the Bears are desperate for a future QB. If a QB falls to the Cowboys at 10 and they decide to make the deal with the Bears, who do you want in that range?

-Corners-Newsome, Farley
-LB-Collins, Davis
-S-Moehrig
-Edge-Phillips, Ojulari
-DT-Barmore
-T-Darrishaw, Jenkins

Yes, it is possible some of these names go ahead of us.

Its not close for me. Give me Barmore!!!!

Phillips is the answer for me to all these questions.

So he can play behind Gregory and Lawrence? DE is our strongest position on defense. Im convinced you think of the opposite of what to do and take that stance. Its the only explanation.

Barmore easily

then Moehrig

then Collins

Phillips would depend entirely on the medicals and his mental make up . It’s a significant risk IMO

He could be a force on running and passing downs. I'm thinking they may look for a DE type who might be able to move inside on passing downs like Crawford used to do.

Alabama took him off the field on running downs. And you want to spend a 1st round pick on a project.

I'm not sure I said that but we could do worse. He's one of only 13 players with immediate starter grades. Some people called him the best player on the field in the college championship games.

You aren't getting Mack for a move up as they paid multiple 1st rd picks to get him.

It depends how desperate the Bears are for a QB......if I am the Cowboys I dont make the trade without MACK.... falling back to #20 is not worth the drop off in talent.

How about JOK? Gone or don't like?

It's like us dealing Zach Martin if we didn't sign Dak. Makes no sense.

Then its simple ....you dont make the trade....a 10 pick is a highly sought commodity just as much as QBs. I didn't think Stafford was worth all the draft picks, also the 49ers gave up the farm for the #3 pick.

There is just to much of a drop off in Talent to fall back to #20 without a great deal for the Cowboys.

So many just scout the helmet and overrate Barmore. He isn't a Jonathan Allen or a Payne. Many legit media scouts have him rated in the 40's. Dane even said recently he could fall into rd 2. Many media scouts bumped him up to a top 20 pick, based on his college playoff performance and the lack of quality prospects at the position. Think he gets draft in that 25-40 range.

You aren't trading for the #1 QB, but probably the 5th best, Stafford was a former #1 overall pick.

The Cowboys like to take their number one guy at a particular position. Think about guys who plausibly could be around at 20 and might also be evaluated by the Cowboys as their top guy at a particular position.

S Moehrig
DT Barmore
Edge Olujari
LB JOK or Collins

Under your scenario, I would think they might target one of those players. And I would be okay with that. But I'll be surprised if they trade down that far since I imagine their first round grades don't go much past 17-18 players.

If I am the Cowboys, I am not moving down in the Draft unless it is a Special Offer.

Rams traded the farm for a 10year veteran who is had some serious injuries the last few seasons and is NOT in his prime years.

Matthew Stafford trade: Rams send two first-round picks, a third-round pick and Jared Goff to Lions for QB

49ers traded their 12th-overall pick, a 2022 third-round compensatory pick and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023 for the Miami Dolphins No. 3 overall selection.

My short list would probably be:

- JOK
- Darrisaw
- Ojulari
- Horn / Newsome
- Phillips ( if meds are clear)
- Paye

No, I agree with him that pretending as if Gregory is a proven valuable commodity is insane. Could he prove to be? Sure. Is it also possible he’s nothing more than an ok situational pass rusher? Of course.

Our front as a whole is pretty dreadful. 0 difference makers
