Yep.............this nonsense about Brown being the early favorite to start is nothing but made up BS by the reporter for click bait.

I'll be surprised if Joseph doesn't start, just like Diggs did as a rookie. However, his overall lack of experience could delay him being elevated to that role. I hope not because Brown is certainly not a quality starter.

Not a way to make a good first impression.....still......if he really was sick.....then maybe the team told him to stay away as to not infect anyone else.....which is understandable.

Still gotta be cautious about Covid.

I think anyone and everyone deserves the benefit of our doubts. Our whole justice system is built on this precept. If we all had the attitude like yours this organization would have never had a Charles Haley who arguably cemented our SB defenses of the early/mid 1990's.
Did I say cut the guy? Good lord you guys are taking this a running with it.

I just said the kid doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt because of his past. I didn't say throw him in the streets.

I'll ask you, if you had a guy that had a history of stealing, would you allow that person to stay at your home with 100% trust? If something came up missing would you give him the benefit of the doubt or would you look at the persons past and think "ya know, maybe it's just a problem they have".

Can we stop being sensationalists and speculating without any facts just because some posters don’t like his demeanor? If he does something worrisome then we can worry, until then let’s not assume that routine things are signs of doom. Haven’t seen anyone be this scrutinized this quickly in a while.

Controversy, confrontation, chaos, celebrity dumpster fires and overreaction—comfort food for the masses, and the media will manufacture drama wherever they can for rating$.

Until there is an actual problem with Joseph that is clearly hurting the team, I’m not going to give it much attention.

No, I just suggest that a lot of you are Star Blind.

Cowboy fans tend to look past red flags as long as you have a star on your helmet.

Yeah we're fans which is short for fanatic. Read what you will into that.

I'm relatively new here too (2018 refugee from DC.com). People are people and Cowboy fans are not more over the top that other fan bases. I read boards from other teams especially NFCE teams along with the Pack. All fans project and many are quite unrealistic.

Only bad thing I see here is if you aren't over bubbly about a player you are a "hater" which is an extremely tiresome thing. Some extremely knowledgeable folks on here and I learn from them and gain new insight constantly.

GO COWBOYS.

Joseph is going to take some NFL training, just like Horn and Surtain will need.

Part of the thing that must be considered with every inexperienced NFL player is what's the upside and the ceiling. Many feel Surtain was more NFL ready but Horn had a better ceiling in the long run.

I do not think the Cowboys had Joseph ranked above there other two CB's but they weren't available and we do not know for sure if either was they wouldn't have taken Parsons anyway. I think Joseph was a fall back but with a good upside.

You're welcome to prove me wrong, but you won't, because you can't.

All you can do is insult and name call people that have different opinions.
The proof is in the first post in this thread. You were like this:

The fan base is more then just this place. I generalized.

I dunno who Aria is. I came from Reddit, because I thought this place was more reasonable.
Well, good call… Anyplace is more reasonable than Reddit.

I’m not sure that being reasonable entails disliking and belittling everything the team does. You can disagree with some things the team does (we all do), but if you make fun of every move this franchise makes, then you need to be aware that you might not be being reasonable yourself. I mean, if you dislike everything about a team, you aren’t a fan of that team.

And if you’re not Aria… then you both studied at the same school of being a “realist”. Both say plenty of good things about other teams in the division… just, oddly, not about Dallas.

Being a fan shouldn't require you to not be rational about things, in my opinion.

What I boded is 100% correct. If you you don't think the Cowboys are winning the next 10 Super Bowls then you are attack, ridiculed, and name called for it here.

Yeah, more talk and no substance, what's new?

Do you even contribute your opinion to topics on here or do you just go around name calling anyone that hasn't drowned in the kool aid?

I agree, but overly loving everything the team does is just as bad and hating everything.

Being reasonable means being able to look at things objectively. I don't believe Dak is a top 5 QB. I should not be attacked because I believe that. I don't believe the Cowboys are winning the Super Bowl. I should not be attacked for that.

I hate the Eagles, Washington, and Giants, but I can admit when they do things better then us. That doesn't mane that I don't want to whip the field with them. That should warrant being attacked on here.

I say all the time that my opinions are not concrete. If Dak comes out and leads us to wins and plays like an MVP I will be the happily admit it. I hope he proves me and the other doubters wrong.

He has upsides. Most reports note he has a lot of upside.....

Strengths:
  • Talented cover corner
  • Excellent skill set; fast, big, athletic
  • Short-area burst
  • Eats up ground in a blur
  • Strong and tough
  • Physical jam to reroute
  • Tough press-man corner
  • Twitchy athlete
  • Can play off-man coverage
  • Good run defender
  • Willing to hit and tackle
  • Good ball skills; plays the ball well
  • Nice hands
  • High points the ball well
  • Confident, cocky corner mentality
  • Lots of upside

Biggest upside at the moment is he is willing to hit and tackle I'd suppose.
theres the Yin and the Yang, thank you for also posting his strengths.

Y'all remember a lot of the backlash when Hardy was signed? Now, do you remember how the crowd reacted with his first sack?

First play that Joseph makes, most will forget any of this whatever they think. Because I don't even know what to think to begin with, no one's talking. I don't know if it was drugs, guns or women but he is a rapper, dontchyaknow?

He's a rapper so that comes with a stigma with some people because they're all gangstas with 37 baby mama's. That baby mama's might be true. We know what Joseph aspires to be but do we know what the others aspire to be?

Lawrence aspires to be a creative writer and creator of clever nicknames. Gregory will own the first legal pot store in Texas, should that ever come about. Jaylon has a future as an impersonator.

BTW, I am inspired by young Kelvin and am beginning on my act. I am going to be a 73 year old white rapper called Smooth Boy Jackson and I've already started on my stuff, whatdyathink?

(twuuh, twuhh twuhh, twuhh, that's me spitting in my hands)

I'm an old guy with an eye for the ladies
Some think I'm just a little bit shady
But young ones go for the mature I'm told
So I am mature, I ain't old
I tell all the people she is my niece
So no one calls the social police
So hide your ladies somewhere out of town
When Smooth Boy Jackson comes around.

Once the nursing homes get right, I am planning a tour.

I literally rarely ever see you post ANYTHING to do when the topic of the post. 99% of the things I see are you just calling people names and contributing NOTHING to the discussion going on.

That's just sad lol

That not me. I never project a SB on this team. I'm not coming down on you but only trying to inject some levity / balance.

Folks unduly IMO, without ANY evidence came down on Joseph for not being at practice and said a lot of nasty things , again without a shred of evidence, and I didn't/don't think it's warranted . . . period. I mentioned nothing about SB's and never have and only said that this fan base is no different from any other fan base I have observed. Some are pessimists, some are optimists, some are wait and see types.

I'm a wait and see type.

This seems rational to me. Your mileage may vary.
