They are 7-6....I think they have to be disappointed with their return on investment even though his stats don't look bad.
Eagles I'm sure would've rather have kept him then get a late 1st rounder for him and screw their cap space up.
I'd probably say its a fail for both teams...Colts wanted Matthew Stafford and had to settle for Carson Wentz.
Its funny....the Colts are 3-1 in their last 4 games....in the 3 wins he didn't throw for more than 180 yards....in the loss he threw for 300 Yards that resulted in 2 interceptions....They take the ball out of his hands and they are winning.
I see your point.
But they knew this would be an effort at a reclamation project.....and not instant returns.
They've won 6 of their last 8 with the only 2 losses being close ones to Tennesee and Tampa Bay.
And any way we slant it, 23 Tds, 5 ints and a 97 Passer rating is more than solid.
They lean on the run game, as they should. I like Pittman, but they have a bottom 5 WR/TE group in the league.
Is it great? Definitely not, as he (like every other QB this year) has had 2-3 bad games.
And when I watch their games, I don't come away overly impressed---even in his "good" games.
But I suspect they are fairly happy right now, barring injury. A late 1st rounder for a "possible" long term starting QB
