Morning Pops and everyone.
It’s Iowa City day for me. So far everything seems to be going well. Scan done. Creatinine in normal range. BP amazing as always (118/76). Just waiting to see the oncologist for scan results. Then… I’m eating!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good morning Pops and Friends,

15 F (and that's the likely high for today), snowing and I am running pre-party errands. Good thing my assault vehicle has 4WD.

My wife asked, "Do you think the weather will deter our guests this weekend?" My, "I sure hope so" response earned me a trip to the dog house. Hence, running errands.

And, by some miracle, the Cowboy's game is broadcast this weekend in our area. Let's hope Santa put a little offense in the Cowboy's stocking.

You need to use "CC's Can't Miss Visitors' Cut Their Trip Short" remedy. I put on Zamfir's Greatest Hits, an oxymoron if there ever was one, and light Yankee Candle Egg Fart aroma candles. And if that doesn't do the trick, I ask for volunteers to stay up all night cooking the Holiday Haggis with me.

Afternoon Pops and Popsadoodles. Leon, your orders will have to carry over to tomorrow for Runny because he gets up so early that it's still considered late at night. When I think about it, I feel awful for him especially once it gets cold and the blankets are keeping the world at bay. The alarm is screaming 'get up' as your body screams back 'screw you, I'm comfortable'. Slap that alarm like Madea with a hangover, roll over and go back to sleep. It's a good thing alarm clocks don't have feelings or mine would have committed suicide. I had one that made bird sounds. I developed an urge to take a baseball bat to all birds. I thought I'd find one that would play my favorite song to wake up to. A whole lot of favorite songs fell out of favor with me. It's always been a hate/hate even more relationship between me and alarm clocks so in summary, have a good day tomorrow Runny.

Best wishes for your test results, Jan. Also best wishes for Doodles. May your monkey paws have extra good juju for you. I can get quiet about it, but never forget what you're going through. All my best and I need to send up fresh prayers for you and not call you Doodles to God. Nothing but love. Have a good day everyone except Runny because he's going to have a wonderful Friday.

Tests be good to you, m'lady.

Everything came back just fine…

I opted for lasagna. Been a while so I picked up fixins on my way home and it’s just coming out of the oven.

Coach, continued prayers for you as well. Every time I log in on this site I think about you and how you’re doing, which means several times daily, so the “thoughts” portion of the ‘thoughts and prayers’ phrase is covered as well!!

Have a nice evening.

I just got this one a while back and I love it. Easy to use, easy to read, the snooze bar is distinct and easy to find, and best of all, it starts out quiet and gradually gets louder, so I'm never jumping out of my skin to shut it off.

I wake up several times during the night, usually, but I can almost always get right back to sleep. But it's weird, there are a lot of times I wake up and check the time, and it's one minute until the alarm goes off...I still hit the snooze button.

I hate when that happens… I wake up and think to myself…” if I go back to sleep now I can get “x” # of minutes/hours more sleep and then I lay there and worry about how fast the time is ticking away:confused:

We finally have some cooler weather coming for the next four days. It will feel a little more like Christmas. Our daughter arrives Monday from California for Christmas. She and I will be going to the game on the 26th. Looking forward to it.

I used to be that way before retiring. Now, when I wake up, I think, "I can sleep as long as I want"

Still get up at 5:00 am for some reason.

Luckeee!! I’ve only been to one professional game in my life and it was Dallas @ Chicago for Sunday a night game… September, 2007.

I remember it well! My boss is a Bears season ticket holder and I went with his wife and kids. They knew then my team was Dallas (and still is of course) and I think (knowing them) that they felt Chicago was going to take it to us. I was so hoarse by the end of the game from yelling and cheering… sitting there in the non-drinking section/pit full of Chicago fans (and three or four other Cowboys fans). We won of course, and I had my daughter with me too (she wasn’t yet a Patriot’s (or any) fan at that time). I must’ve had too good of a time, which the boss’s wife seemed as misbehaving :muttley: because after that game I heard her tell other people in the office that they couldn’t go to games with them if they behaved like me. Was I supposed to sit on my hands and quietly watch the game? I PAID FOR THOSE TICKETS. Hell no. I had a great time and made great memories at a crappy time in my life (just divorced). Hoping to catch a game next season with my daughter and son-in-law. He’s never been.

Sorry. I really rambled through that response.

You were supposed to be sympathetic and tell her how sorry you were that your team was winning. That's what she would have done, I'm sure!
