I just finished Season 2 of The Witcher. I am not ashamed to say I liked it a lot and I am looking forward to the next season, if there is one. I get all the criticisms but for me, either I enjoy watcher and want more, or I don't enjoy it and I don't watch it anymore. Season 2 ended well and set up Season 3 nicely. I want more of this show please. 8.5 out of 10.
The 2nd season was definitely better than the first. But I hope if they have a 3rd, they improve the special effects, particularly the monsters.

I wasn't put off by the monsters given what the show is, a fantasy. If they have to skimp on the monster budget to continue to produce the show, I am fine with that. But yes, some of the monsters looked like puppets.

Anyone watching the Expanse season 6? They only have one more episode to go and I have no idea how they can wrap up this season in it. Feels like they are in midseason.

Mayor of Kingstown - It's good to see Jeremy Renner in a non Hawkeye role again. Good show
Dexter: New Blood - Thank goodness they did this to wipe out that garbage ending of the original series
Yellowjackets - Intriguing storytelling. I'm not sure where it's going. I hope it isn't a let down
Yellowstone - Good as always
1883 - So far so good. Love Tim McGraw's acting. Faith Hill seems rather wooden, but so is her character it seems. Getting January Jones in Mad Men vibes, and that's not a good thing.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it's a 6 episode final season.

Maybe. Or maybe they've already signed up the cast for a series of follow-up movies.
If there's only one episode left, then you're right. There are a lot of loose ends to tie up!

Well, there are rebooting Fresh Prince and I think I'm sold. I probably would pass if it was another comedy, but I'm intrigued to see what they do with this more dramatic tone.

The fact they have to base the show on a reboot means they do not think it is good enough to be successful on its own.

The comedy show was great and tying this to it by re-using the character names for name drop reasons is sad.

I'll give it a chance. It started with just a fan-made video (that floated around the internet a few years ago) of what the show would be like as a drama. I think it caught enough attention that it appears they're going to give it a real go. I definitely understand the concern about the characters being "replaced" from the original actors we know, as it doesn't feel right in the trailer, but maybe it'll eventually grow into good character development.

Whether the show is good or not, I will never view it as a replacement of the original show, but rather an alternative universe Fresh Prince.

I am just not a fan when Hollywood tries to leach off of establish brands via reboots and other name drops simply for money grabbing reasons.

I get it with superhero shows as those have been rebooted many times, but when you go from comedy to serious drama the only thing they have in common are names, locations and a rich uncle and aunt, and repurposing a comedy show is just tacky and sad in my opinion.

The trailer looked interesting and had they just called it "Bel-Air" and built it on its own premise and storyline, I would have been way more inclined to watch it.

If they really wanted to reboot the original comedy show with a great story they would have made a new comedy with Will Smith as the lead (or someone with a similar persona and age if he declined) and Carlton's or Hilary's "son" coming from Bel-Air to Philadelphia because they were spoiled and getting into trouble.

Thanks to all of you who recommended Hawkeye. Poster after poster said it was their favorite marvel show so I knew it had to be good. Sure nuff, the wife and I binged it last weekend. Just a great combination of popular Movie/TV/Comic references in a fun movie-esque package. Without revealing too much, I was stoked to see the bad guy they brought back. I loved that show and felt he did an excellent job as that character.

Just seems like that is the way Hollywood is these days. They're reaching for pretty much whatever they can these days.

It was great for a comedy show that released during the time period it came out in and depending on what age you were at the time.

It has been a long time since a comedy show came out I liked and there have been dozens if not hundreds released in that timeframe.

What did you think of America's funniest home videos when it first came out?
