We will be fine. Cant sign em all.I'm sorry i think that makes us weaker not stronger. I think the big mistake is losing both DE and pretending like they mean nothing. I don't buy it.
What do you think is a deal you would see as worth doing?Re-signing this guy to a market value contract will be a huge mistake. Dude is too inconsistent, commits boneheaded penalties, and is totally unreliable.
Unless he wants to come back for the minimum, move on. Giving him a big contract would be along the lines of the Jaylon Smith, Demarcus Lawerence, and Nolan Caroll.
Dude has been in the league for 7 years and has 16.5 sacks (yes i know he has missed some seasons). Id much rather give whatever he is slated to make to Von Miller, but we know this FO doesnt believe in bringing in high priced FAs, just to turn around and overpay our overrated players.
Move on
I was shocked at what Quinn gotSomeone else will pay him big money. We all thought Robert Quinn wasn’t leaving and bam Chicago paid him a fortune. At least he backed it up as he had 18 sacks this year
If Randy will accept a team friendly deal, then why not? The guy sucks against the run but would be a valuable situational pass rusher and every team needs those guys.
The bigger issue is DLAW who is still a good player but we can't take his 27M cap hit next year. We have to cut him or resign him.
We will be fine. Cant sign em all.
we can resign him, but not over pay. anything more than 8-10M per year is too much
Huh ? ... Nolan Carroll ?
I said if he didn't make a dent in Trent Williams I was done with him. We saw what happened. Goodbye
I'm not sure his market value is that great, but I agree they should move on. They have held on long enough.Re-signing this guy to a market value contract will be a huge mistake. Dude is too inconsistent, commits boneheaded penalties, and is totally unreliable.

With the 8 million you save on cutting Lawrence who are you replacing him with for that 8 million. I am not a big fan of Lawrence at all but he is worth at least 8 million for a DE. 2023 year is the year I would cut bait from a cap perspective. Like I have said before, I would cut Lawrence if players are following him over Parsons. Parsons should be the leader of this group. Demarcus is a leader of Hotboyz!average......and that would put him in the 20-25 range for defensive ends...
perhaps even less than that, but that's the range these days, when Lawrence gets paid 20M.....
he is decent DE. can rush the passer. athletic.....his penalties are concerning so he needs to be coached better. I rather not go into the draft needing two DEs given I am advocating to cut Lawrence and save on the cap.
the rest of the guys on the team are pure JAGs
As long as losing in the first round of the playoffs is your goal, sure.I'm not as concerned with these contracts because the Cowboys and the NFL have shown you can sign a guy and get from out in front of it. Can Gregory play right now? Do you expect him to play at a high level for the next 3 years? If the answer is yes then you resign him.
Or they restructure D Law and use the money to keep Gregory and don’t lose either starting DE.
Can't like this post enough. If we can get him on the cheap, re-sign him. But I've soured on him after his bonehead penalty against the 49ers. That was simply a horrible penalty to make. It's equivalent to deliberately kicking an MMA opponent in the family during a match. That play negated a fourth-down stop and likely would have given the Cowboys more time in their failed comeback attempt.
More than that, there's a culture here that has engulfed these players. We need to clear our roster of comfortable, cupcake players. We need to replace them with guys with the fire of Micah Parsons.
So, as much as I've supported RG, if he leaves, I won't be hurt.
How are you correlating the two? What on earth does that have to do with losing in the 1st round of the playoffs lol?As long as losing in the first round of the playoffs is your goal, sure.
Pass rushers don't grow on trees. Gregory will not be suspended moving forward for his drug use and has 10 plus sack potential. Yes, he had a poor game against the 49ers, but he had some tremendous games throughout the yr as well. If you don't resign him, who are you replacing him with? Don't say Parsons cause he is the only LB we have under contract and still will be playing the position.Re-signing this guy to a market value contract will be a huge mistake. Dude is too inconsistent, commits boneheaded penalties, and is totally unreliable.

he's about 5M - 7M defensive end with a lot of baggage. If they are cutting Tank (which they should), they have to resign Gregory.
His comps are about $13.5M per year.
That is what it will likely take.
