That’s what the draft is for
4 out of 5 first round QBs fail. the ratio is even higher for QBs picked outside of top 10. we don't have top 10 pick....and to draft a QB, so that you can sit Dak on the bench? or have Dak play and the first round QB to sit on the bench..

doesn't make sense.... but yes, we should take a flier on a QB in some round, just like we did with Dak.

Dak is Jason Garrett 2.0.
He has the same mentality and the same lack of leadership that Garrett showed.
And now the Cowboys have had that lack of leadership for 15 year.
glad to hear you are on the wagon. hope you stay on it and can complete the program...we are all pulling for you

Amazing the negative fans but I wonder if they will still be negative if we win a Super Bowl next year.

If they improve the LG and OC spots then the run game will be better and yes we need a healthy Smith although not counting out Ball being a difference maker for us.

Although very disappointed we lost, always a fan and always hopeful for next year.

get rid of him and hope that oNE DAY JERRY sells the team or dies
OMG....you are making this a little too personal wishing someone to die...that ain't right.

this is entertainment. its football. has nothing to do with real life and death and now you are wishing him to die...

not right...

We haven't come close to a Super Bowl with the other 20+ QBs who have started a game for the Cowboys over the last 25 years, either.

Seems like there's a bigger underlying problem.

Does it start with a J and ends with a Y? :muttley:

We gave him $40m a year. He held out and idiots here said he deserves it. Why didn’t he carry 20% of the load? He took 20% of the money? We need a team around our stars!
you math is wrong...its average of 40M, but the cap changes and goes up every year (except covid year).....so that percentage will change....yes, its still will be large.

for measure, his cap hit this year was less than 10% (17M).

you made too many assumptions in your math

Dak’s 2022 cap hit is what another 40M. Subtract that from the new cap of 208M
So we’ll have 172M [pluse other dead money] to work with and who is the QB? Our back up
WRONG.

his cap hit was 17M in 2021
2022 its 34 M and being restructured.

the problem with your math is you used average for one and then actual values for the cap total.... it doesn't work that way

He's had a better oline than most other QBs for the majority of his career.
How many all pros on his line does he need ???

So it's Zeke's fault because he's washed,it's the wrs faults because they aren't fast enough, it's the oc fault because he can't scheme, andddddd it's the oline fault because they don't have 5 all pros.

No, it's daks fault. He's paid like a SUPERSTAR but he's already a damaged QB who is hesitant, innacurate(partly because he lacks arm strength, partly because of injuries) and now he's scared to hurt the other team with his legs because of his recent injuries.

Sure we can win games with him. Sure he'll look good in some and put up nice numbers, but he doesn't have the talent to lead this team to anything meaningful.
true. but Do Garrett and Linehan bear any responsibility for team results?

There's at least one fan who has said this in February for each of the last 25 years.

The negativity shouldn't be hard to understand. Expecting the Jones boys to suddenly get it right is more optimism than some of us can muster at this point.

I have no muster for a Jerry Jones led Cowboys team anymore. You're exactly right. The Cowboys can win the East and in marketing nothing more.

Plus the no trade clause in his contract would stop any trade

If things continue like they have been, may be he will want a change of scenery.....lately It been a place where quarterbacks careers have come to die....i wouldn't blame him
