The Gray Man - not bad 7.5/10

Looks like a rip on "Prey". This was about a mother and her two children stranded in a rover with a determined pair of hungry lions to get them and it was as tense as they get.

Yeah, I kinda remember that one, but this one combines the story lines of Prey and The Ghost and the Darkness

Finally watched "Thor Love and Thunder"........ wow that was um, "special". There were a few parts I liked, but so much was just wrong. For much of the movie I thought I was watching an out takes reel. If I had seen this in a theater, I woulda felt like I was getting punked and wondered when they were gonna start the real movie. This wasn't a Thor MCU movie, this was a parody of an MCU movie. Much has already been said about Taika Waititi, but the braintrust at Disney/Marvel were part of this process and must have felt it was good enough. Very underwhelmed with the latest MCU efforts. 5/10

With the huge budget, why did the weapons and armor look so cheap? Thor's armor looked like plastic, so did Stormbreaker and Mjolnir. Zeus' "Thunderbolt" was the worst, it looked like a toy I could go buy at Walmart. You can actually go buy one at Etsy for $25 that looks just as good. I'm guessing a large part of the props budget went for Taika Waititi's hair gel.

I'm guessing the cheesy props and costumes were intentional, because more realistic ones wouldn't have fit in as well with the "comedic" theme of the movie. The MCU has shown that they can make very good costumes, props, and effects, so I feel like it had to be purposeful.

I watched Moonfall on HBO Max. It is a done over (or over done) sci-fi doomsday flick with Halle Berry and the due who played Sam Tarley in GoT. It was corny at times, and fun at times. It was mildly entertaining. It is definitely a popcorn and Pepsi kind of flick, with a Twizzlers chaser. 6 out of 10.

I concur, T.W. wasn't the right person to direct a Marvel movie imo, he made it more of a spoof
