I try my very best to not put someone on the ignore list, but I think you’re right— my experience here would be so much better if I did

Herein lies the rub.

If Rush stays in the starting role of any team he will have chances to go up against the premium teams of the league and those games feature the ability to dissect and take advantage of QB weaknesses.

That is what makes these teams elite in the league.

We are all enjoying the win streak we have with Cooper Rush, and he certainly displayed admirable characteristics we wish Dak had, but let's be real. The hour is going to strike midnight on Rush and there will be games where the carriage will turn into a pumpkin.

I don't know what the answer is for the Cowboys, but I can't imagine that going with Rush is the answer for a long playoff run.

I'd be interested in seeing Win Probability Added.

Gross points are biased heavily against Rush. We now have a defense that holds the other team's scoring down.

I voted for Dak to remain the starter, but these stats seem very cherry picked to me.

Just noticed the OP is benched........LOL.......I guess somebody else noticed his stats were cherry picked also and he cussed them out.
 
If Dak is better, it not by much. Certainly not by $39,000,000.00.
If he was that good, Jerry would reup the contract in a heartbeat.
Instead, Jerry will do what he did to Garrett. Simple let the contract expire, and let him go.

Rush was probably sitting on the bench trying not to look bored when Dak left the game. He hardly had time to warm up.

Well yeah. Nobody expects him to go undefeated. Heck, Ackman was 1-15 in his first year.

So if you're going to analyze QB play, isnt QBR accepted as being one of the most reliable comparative measurements as it's a step advanced from basic stats ????

It appears that Rush is throwing to a 73.9, QBR this year which is fair bit higher than any of Dak's years other than his Rookie Season.

Now if you want to disparage Rush's number's you could comment that it's a small sample size, however, your final analysis just isnt backed up by the best comparative measuring algorithm.

Good point. But which defense between the Bengals, Commanders and Giants are on the level of the Bucs defense that Dak faced??? And let's not pretend like Rush didn't put 2 ints into the bellies of Washington players but was bailed out because of Washington's own incompetence.

Those ints had nothing to do with the penalties that were called either.

Dak had two very different seasons last year. The first half (great) vs the second half (poor)
Some say he went off the rails after the calf injury but it continued into week 1 this year.
The other theory is in the 1st half of the year, Dak was the most blitzed, facing man coverage. 2nd half he faced a disguised zone

How is Dak reading disguised Zone defenses?

And this rub is exactly what has happened to Dak.
Rush is beating the tomatoe cans of the league but he also did notch an exceptional win against the Bengals who yes we're in the SB. When is the last time Dak has beaten a good team? I hope I'm wrong but when Dak got paid I said people are human and there has to be whispers in the locker room and everyone knows those get louder when he stinks up the field like in the 49ers game but doesn't accept any blame. Rush is like a breath of fresh air right now.

You can't tell these clowns anything. Dak scores 50 points against the WFT and 10 against Denver but all they think is he averages 30 points a game.

Isnt this the problem. If the book is written on how to play Dak it's up to him (with help, but ostensibly him) that needs to beat the defense. We've got the O-Line (in some shape), a running game (that functions) and what Rush appears to be doing is taking advantage of what the Defense is giving him, moving the chains/driving the bus.

With healed legs and running game the Secondary may open up to allow him to make those throws.

Yep Rush is the second coming. He is a Super Bowl caliber QB who can win games all on his own like Brady and Mahomes. Cowboys can’t never lose as long as Rush is the QB.
 
Dak is 0-6 since mid-season last year against playoff teams completing 140/239 58% of his passes
and throwing 8 TD's and 7 INT's. (Den, KC, LV, AZ, SF, TB). Good thing for his LV
game numbers or it would be much worse

A Mod should be unbiased in their application of the forum rules. They should also be unbiased in keeping a certain level of sanity around here (yeah, an impossible task).

They are just one of us when it comes to Cowboys discussions. And generally, they are better examples of a Cowboy fan.

But enough brown nosing, LOL. Hopefully this will keep me off the bench for awhile.
