Jerry: Confident in McCarthy, coaching staff is outstanding

I agree giving up top draft picks to NO on the other hand is not something I would like to see. I think Payton is a very good HC and I have a lot of respect for him but not so much I would be willing to part with a 1st and likely more
While i would very much be elated to have DC Vic Fangio, if he comes with the Payton package. I have questions about Payton myself.

1) Will he stay committed to running the ball ? Can he be too pass- happy and abandon the run at times ? .
2) If he cannot acquire Fangio as DC, Quinn departs, will he insist on his handpicked DC from outside ? ..or choose an inside hire DC from within ?
3) Will he eventually demand more personnel power from McClay ?
4) What will it take to acquire Payton's services ? Multiple high picks or just a 1st rounder ?

As I asked everyone here 2 hours ago, why all of a sudden has the bar been lowered? Booger was fuming after the SF game, and I swear he made statements several times after to the effect of having to get deep into the playoffs....almost everyone here before the season started was saying that Corky had to win at least 2 post season games and/or reach the NFCCG to keep his job. So now he can lose in ROUND ONE and keep his job just because he won 12 games and reached the post season 2 years in a row??? What if we lose looking like crap Monday night in a loss??? You do know they we all get exactly what we deserve supporting all this gross incompetence, right? So once again not to bury the lead.....why has the freakin' bar been lowered between the SF game and now?????

Means nothing. Jerry has said things and done the opposite so many times…. If we go out like we did against Wash, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind, changes will happen

Jerry is like a broken record he says the same thing every season about every head coach and coaching staff he’s ever had. What else is he going to say? Lol

Because what everyone HERE says doesn’t matter. What matters is the job jerry thinks the current coach is doing and what direction he feels the franchise is trending in.

Jerry just isn’t going to fire mm when the franchise has put together back to back playoff seasons of 12 wins. What Jerry said last January is as dead as a door knob and he’s the owner which means he’s entitled to change his opinion whether we agree or not. And with Jerry much of what he says is fluid.

In my opinion he is. And the combination of Payton coaching offense and Fangio coaching the defense is better than McCarthy and whoever ultimately replaces Quinn.
I will give you Fangio big upgrade over Quinn. Payton is the same as McCarthy. Why does everyone hate on McCarthy?

Imagine what length of extension he will get if we win Monday? Might even get an ownership stake

I’m not hating on him. But while I can appreciate back to back double digit winning seasons, I can’t appreciate back to back first round playoff losses.

If that happens, I’m looking at what I feel is a potential upgrade.

My point is that everyone here seems to have suddenly gotten fluid as well...giddy over 12 wins, when in six (6) short days it's not gonna mean a damn thing. We have a "walk around" coach with ZERO duties other than managing a game....yet he can't be bothered to check with and insure that Junior is running the ball in the last 1:48 at Jacksonville. Packer fans were right about him....some of you need to wake up.

Not bury anything but you hire a coach you give him the time. This BS of people wanting to hire and fire coaches every couple of years is stupid. Could a complete collapse in Tampa cost him his job? It could. How about a win does a win get him respect by fans like yourself? Fans once said how Jerry like shiny new objects? yet fans are the one wanting the shiny new objects and then turn on them. If Dallas were to hire a new HC I would give him the chance to get the job done. Mccarthy has been here 3 year ,2 post season including this year. I don['t know about anyone else but I'm not lowering any bar I use a bit of common sense, you hire a coach you best damn well give him the chance to get it done.

And this is why we will never have nice things like another shiny SB trophy…we have a GM, HC, and OC that no one else in the league would hire but here they are courtesy of our senile owner. At least Snyder is selling…

Imagine having a GM that works hard instead of talking all the time. Imagine having a GM that is 45 instead of 80. Imagine having a GM that is accountable for results.

Imagine having an owner who understands that the winning owners of the last 27 Super Bowls all hired someone else to be their GM. Imagine having an owner who wants to win bad enough they are willing to do WHATEVER it takes including removing themselves from being the centerpiece of the franchise In order to win a SB.

Imagine…
Bullet I imagine it on a daily basis problem is I don't see it happening in our lifetime.

There are just too many Jones's for us to outlive them all.

Fortunately for us we saw the best of cowboy football a long time ago Yes it's ultimately frustrating now that we can't even win a playoff game.

But we were spoiled for a long time and it seems like we are paying the price tenfold now

The head coach is very good. How many teams have back to back 12 win seasons? I don't know how you come up with what you are saying, but you don't know what you are talking about.

Jerry has his eye on somebody out there. MM just received the kiss of death
