Sources: Hopkins would welcome trade to Cowboys; willing to make financial concessions

I think people are to fixated on the name honestly...he's certainly got juice left and is worth a mid round pick, but he's not the player he was 3 to 4 years ago...

I am good with the Cowboys working to find the right value...just watch a draft day two trade come up

I feel like I'm the most pro Prescott member here this offseason because all I want to do is help him. I want to surround him with enough weapons to change the outcome of those 49er games. Even if he's in vintage form he just has too much firepower around him for playoff defenses.

Getting rid of the Elephant Man was a start. Adding a legit #1 like Hopkins would be another huge step in that direction.

So far the WR position since "correctly" unloading Cooper has been a mess. And they haven't alleviated the situation. Should've been a bigger priority early on.
Unloading Cooper was not the "correct" thing to do, it was a major blunder and totally screwed over the entire WR core, which they finally admitted to.

Now to fix the problem we either have to trade for Dhop or sign OBJ and guess what.........they are gonna have to pay either one what they were paying Cooper.

Yeah, brilliant strategy by the front office.

Not negatively supporting, or pro-supporting this trade, but people thinking just draft a WR need to pay attention to the history of rookie WR's.
Like OL, they generally take time to develop unless they are just monster talents.
That is the rule and there are exceptions, but just saying...
Oh no doubt. Got to have a WR ready to hit the ground running while Dak is still playing at an elite level.

no problem going all in with Rodgers and Brady no longer playing in the already weak NFC.

SB or bust this season

I'm with you my brother, preech on:yourock:

At his salary, should be a late round draft pick.
You don't give high draft picks for high salaried non elite players.
Especially ones starting to decline

Respectfully disagree, he is still well in the Elite category. He was still a force on offensive with the 2nd, and 3rd string QB's on AZ while being doubled.

Hopkins is 30 and he hasn’t done much the past two seasons. He’s missed games due to a suspension and injuries. That along with him costing us a draft pick or more is why he’s not here. He’s still a good receiver, but is on the downside of his career.

It was absolutely 100% the right thing to do. He was the #2 WR at that point with a ridiculous contract and the browns bought it hook, line, and sinker!

Belt says cowboys aren’t as interested in Hopkins as Hopkins is in dallas

Says Dallas will not trade a 1 or 2 and probably not even a 3 for Hopkins
Ha! We’ll probably end up giving OBJ 5/$90M instead and the Jones’ will be convinced they made the right decision.

Third year in a row coming with double digit wins and you call them a loser. Lol So, you think the Gillmore trade was a loser decision. What the hell do you know?
Dallas has been a loser since 1995. Sad! We need a real GM that wants to win championships!

Good points but Brady was on the downside of his career but the Bucs were able to get a Lombardi out of it.

at this point, I’m willing to take the risk on him.
