I could pick out 3 plays that defined Dallas' season last year:
- The 4th and forever conversion by Rodgers that lead to GB's comeback
- The 3rd and 10 long pass by Dallas when they had Jacksonville down with no timeouts, giving them enough time to even up the game
and
- The INT by Dak in the 2nd quarter of the SF game. Dallas driving in the redzone and score tied 6-6

The last one really changed the complexion of the game and the butterfly effect is huge. Without it, Dallas goes into halftime with a lead and plays different in the 2nd half.

Overall Cowboy fans tend to remember the 2nd half of that game with Dallas flailing around impotently but the first half was a different story. Dak deserves a good bit of heat for that game. Dallas also got the ball after a TO on the SF 21 and only managed a FG early in the 3rd. That game could have been 17-6 in the 3rd with a little better QB play.

So I take it you don't think I watched the game or know how to use google if I didn't?

This thread and hatred is about Dak performing as a QB against the 49ers. So let's take a peek at what the Eagles QB did against the 49ers. Jalen Hurts had 121 yards passing ZERO TDs. 39 yards rushing with 1 TD. 160 total yards 1 TD for Jalen. Jalen didn't so well against the 49ers defense either, did he?

The Eagles TEAM played better against the 49ers. Plain and simple.
Lol you miraculously left out that he had no interceptions, rpo score was higher, controlled the clock and beat them with all that was required game management. He didn’t have to throw bc they were down to no qb. Hurts and that offense had 25 to 11 first downs, 269 yards to 164, 70 plays to 45. Time of possession 37 to 22 min. It’s between the line that you need to see the big picture

context matters very little o these folks. it just is what it is at this point. only thing that can be done is for Dak to consistently win in the playoffs and bring a title home.
Brother, if Dak wins the SB this year his haters will never give him his just dues. They will give it to MM's new system, defense, say the other team choked or they'll say "What took him so long?!"

Lol I left out a lot of things that could've supported my narrative a little more. Dak had more yards from scrimmage. Dak was sacked more. He was under pressure more. Dak had no running game. We ran for 76 yards against the 49ers while the Eagles had 148. So OF COURSE won the time of possession. We had more penalties against the 49ers than the Eagles did. It's between the lines that you need to see the big picture. :)

All jokes aside this will be Dak’s make or break season in Dallas. It appears Dak is not going to sign an extension. His agent’s plan all along is to get Dak into free agency. The Cowboys are going to throw the football. The best offensive weapons are receivers and Pollard is one of the best receiving running backs in the league. Do you all really believe that Pollard, Dowdle and Deuce will combine for 30 carries a game?

Most interesting stat from that video:

Dak Playoffs vs 49ers
  • 0-2
  • 57.5% Completion
  • 230 yards/game
  • 2 TD, 3 INT
  • 66.7 Pass Rating

Dak Playoffs vs Everyone Else
  • 2-2
  • 66.9% Completion
  • 274.8 yards/game
  • 9 TD, 2 INT
  • 107.4 Pass Rating
49ers have his number.
Bingo. If the dudes only flaw is he struggled against the best defense in the league we have a better chance trying to solve that than getting someone else.

That past 49ers game, I'd put on him. He didn't make enough plays.

All the other playoff games he played in, win or loss he played great.
Playing great does not end in a loss. Good game. Yes. Great. Never.

good picks. critical plays at ciritical time.

the only item and I am not excusing the interception in SF game is with Maher, there was no guarantee of scoring. I would say, 4th down and whatever distance...go for it because it would have as good a chance as maher kicking a field goal. he missed an extra point earlier.

yes, between the line that they rushed the ball to win the game because passing wasn't working.

of course they won't. I can give you a list of excuses and BS they will say
- we could have done it cheaper with Rush, why pay 40M
- we should have won it three times already
- the team had to carry him, he doesn't deserve it
- the other team played bad, it was their fault not Dak playing well
- he got lucky

and the funny thing will be if that happens, you, I and other true cowboys fans will enjoy it. they will be misreable. some will disappear for good.

regardless of the team or the QB, they all say how much they cherish the opportunities to take their team and fanbase to the promised land when they are negotiating & signing their mega contracts. thinking you can have lackluster performances in the playoffs and not get a significant portion of the blame is delusional.

I mean, doing what-ifs, might as well say "what if" to a thousand things

What if 86 ran the right route in the endzone against GB?
What if Noah Brown caught anything against Jax?" He dropped that 3rd and 10 pass too - which, mind you, was the right call at the time.
What if 86 didn't drop that TD pass against the Texans, leading to Steele getting hurt on the next play?
What if the refs didn't make that stupid OPI call against Gallup against LAR?

if the Cowboys win anything the team will never get the credit, I guess it's not a team sport

Obvious as can be.

No matter what this nauseating broadcaster says. He talks like a 7th grader from Santa Monica. Lol

If he wins anything can we compare him to a Trent Dilfer. Will he be celebrated for being carried to the Super Bowl and getting carried for the win? hum
