Burger King is absolute garbage. They survive because of their low standards, and cheap prices that anyone can afford. But their food is trash.

I love salt. I put salt on everything. But they have a chicken sandwich with over 4800 mg of salt. God forbid you order fries with that. Take off any rings or bracelets, because you might swell up. That is an asinine amount of sodium. They’re whopper, trash! Who has a hamburger or cheeseburger that's slathered in mayo as a standard option? That's disgusting.
Agree about the mayo. It’s definitely the worst of the fast food burger joints. Of course it’s the closest one to my house.

And their breakfast is absolute garbage.

They've been garbage since around 1984, that's when I stopped eating there. Fast forward 30 years, and I decided, well, maybe they're different now. I was on break from plowing snow. One bite is all it took. There was so much mayo on there that the bun was sliding. There shouldn't be any mayo on there. It's as if the person looked at me and said, this guy looks like he wants extra mayo.

I never had a chance to try their breakfast. But as you can probably tell, I'm going to take your word for it.

Here in Germany BK is better than McDonald's. Their patties taste like they were at least in the close proximity to an open fire. McDonald's patties taste like plastic. BK fries are crispy. McDonald's wobbly. And so on.

But we don't have much else here. Basically any other fast food joint I ate at in the US tasted way better than both.

My favorites:

In n out
Fuddruckers
Wendy's
5 Guys

The worst

McDonald's
BK
Carl's Jr
Whataburger
Chick-fil-A
Taco Bell

Since I refuse to eat pizza in any fast food chain I won't even start with them. That's something that is better over here I guess. Never really had a great pizza across the pond despite all the Italians over there.

For pizza, you gotta go to NYC (and surrounding areas) or New Haven, CT.

Definitely. Something in the water in the northeast. Best bread, bagels and Pizza. Anyone who moves out of the area, those things are usually first thing on the to do list when they come back for a visit.

Pizza Hut.

Pizza isn’t nearly as good as it seemed when I was a kid and local Pizzerias are always significantly better.
I used to love pizza hut just for the pan pizza crust. But either the restaurant that delivers to me has gone downhill, or they've changed their recipe because it's just not good the last 2 times I ordered. It used to be a bit greasy and sturdy and chewy and a bit crisp around the edges, now it's soft and fluffy not quite as bad as wonder bread. I'll probably try it once more and if it's not good I'll never get another pie.

I haven't eaten there since the first and last time I had a pizza delivered. I've had better 7-11 pizza...Of course, I was pretty buzzed every time I had 7-11 pizza.

Chicago Deep dish. Sooooo good, even if each piece probably blocks an artery.

I can’t believe that more people don’t open up true deep dish places outside of the Midwest.

Highly addictive pizza!

Pizza Hut has gone to crapp. They used to be great, now they're terrible.

Nah, I've had Chicago style. It's too doughy for my taste. Pizza should have a thin, foldable crust, and the edges should be chewy, like bread sticks.

They have, and you can thank PepsiCo and Yum foods for that. In the 70s Pizza Hut used to have very good pizza.
I loved when they brought out certain ones in a cast iron pan. PH was the place to go and eat(salad bar too), drink some root beer and play Centipede or Pac Man.

A big dream of mine is to open an 80’s themed place like it was back then….video games and all.

Great memories at Pizza Hut in the 80s and before, and good luck. The restaurant business is tough.

What can you expect, with a slogan like "Nobody out-pizzas the Hut"?

That alone should make you wary of the food.
