A healthy Romo could have done that in 16 or better. Cowboy's decided they had a new guy.
I don't know if Romo would make it even 5 games that season health wise. I know you love Romo based on your name, but at the end of the day Romo was a good QB who has a great story, but like Dak has come up just short.

No he couldn't have. If he could, he would have done it by that point in his career.

Romo is way overrated. You guys act like he's this legend on par with the greats like Montana and Brady. Romo doesn't even belong in the conversation with Danny White.

He's better than White. Now White probably had a better collection of teams overall.

Except for crunch time with the game on the line.

You are right... you can't.
Just clueless and the first one to run your soup coolers go back to hiding just because we lost don’t mean you gotta come out of hiding.

To be fair they have said since TC they will be a defensive lead team with a running game..the problem is they cant run and the defense has been not great in the 2 big games..
They may have said that but their actions show otherwise. FO completely put all their chips behind a RB who's never shown ability to be #1 back and coming off major injury. Furthermore, they didn't draft a "big" back who can potentially take the load off Pollard if Pollard experiment should fail.

Take out the unrealistic expectations of Cowboys fans, and their overinflated sense of being right, and he's a solid A-.

We have RB's who can run, our Oline and run scheme are not good so far...and again the defense has not lead the way in a big game yet...

Objection calls for speculation and conjecture.
on the Schoon play it cracks me up people think there was time to "Scan" the field, he was getting hit while releasing the ball to the first read...its ridiculous.

Dak's weakness is just like any other quarterbacks weakness. "TIME"!!! When Dak has good protection and time to throw he's top 3 easily. When he doesn't, he's average. Not science here guys. You tell me what team Dak has not tore apart if he has time? Dak's weakness is if he doesn't get time like any other quarterback he start to see ghost and hurries his throws. You want to make Dak better?? Get a better Oline. One other thing Dak could be better at is field vision and making his mind up faster to run. Besides that? Dak's good to go. IMHO

Don't get me wrong. Dak is a B+ QB. I feel he is a great leader and a hard worker. The problem I feel with Dak is that he has tunnel vision at times and most importantly he has it in the most crucial times. I don't know if it's the higher pressure causing it but I have seen enough over the years to know it's a problem. Here it is. For whatever reason he doesn't go through his reads and he doesn't always hit the receiver that is his best option. That blown up pass to Tolbert, Ferguson is wide open down the middle. That pass to Schoonmaker at the goal line. Man Cooks is wide freakin open and Dak never looks that way. He goes to the I guess the first guy in his progression and boom Eagles have the ball. And that's the difference from being good to great. The Bradys, the Manning's the Montana's and Mahome's make these plays. For whatever the reason, Dak doesn't more times than not. And this team will never get over the hump until that is solved. I hope like hell that McCarthy and Schottenheimer are going over it with Dak and telling him, "We've got to make these reads and hit the open guy." Don't get me wrong. I do like him. I do feel he's a good QB. He's just not great and that's what this team needs right now.
I can't say I disagree, but that's why he is good, but not elite and the list you gave was of Elite QBs. is the complaint why he is not elite? these things make him not Elite. so how do we solve this problem?

Pat Mahomes is probably the best QB at extending plays right now and maybe in the conversation for best ever at it. Outside pressure is where he makes his money, no QB deals with inside the ot pressure well including Mahomes who lost the SB the year he was pressured up the gut... Dak made plays Sunday when it was outside pressure, inside pressure will get you beat...

He's prone to mistakes, so in tighter moments he's even slower physicallly and with his reads (and he's slow anyway). It's why he can't play from behind. Or can't win games without the defense creating turnovers. He's a middle of the pack QB that people hype has more because he had 10 game winning streak with a hall of fame O line and 1700 yard RB.
he is not Elite, I think that horse has been beaten to death in 14,593 threads. not sure why people keep trying to prove he is not elite. if he did all those things he would be Elite and then he would be Mahomes, Burrows (only two elite QBs at this point in NFL). and no one has given a solution except for lets draft one....well we got the 3rd pick of the draft and he has been an utter failure. not saying we shouldn't draft one, but all the complaining ain't solving or providing any means to a solution.

and btw, Hurts is not elite, yet Philly was able to put a team together that went to superbowl and came close. our GM is incapable of doing that.

p.s.
not Sure what happened to Dak since the Patriots game a couple of years ago, but at one point he was one of the better come from behind QBs in the league. so something has changed about him.

He's SLOW like Forest Gump slow and has very average to poor throwing skills..................for the position he plays in the NFL.
Hey Dakko did you learn that the ref needs to touch the ball before it is hiked yet????

and I am not saying he shouldn't have gone to Cooks, but the pass was completed. the ball was where only TE could catch it, except TE turned before he got to the endzone and got tackled. so play was made. if it was Fergi and we have seen it before, and it would have been a TD, nobody would say anything. everyone would say great play.

I agree but for me pressure is pressure. Up the middle is worse. But most teams don't have the DT's to put pressure up the middle without blitzing. And here again is my point-49ers and Eagles have guys that can. And thus Dak's weakness against these type teams. What Dallas needs to do is get a better center. Our center isn't nearly a Stepnoski. Next year or maybe we have one stashed away- we need to find a better center.

Smh....The Bradys, Mahomes, and Montanas miss open receivers too....I guarantee you. Dak had barely enough time to get the pass off to Schoonmaker. Passing lane didn't exist with the blitz. What are you watching? You're trying to fault Dak, but sound silly doing it.
they are just complaining why we don't have Brady, Mahomes and Montana...three HOF and future HOF QBs. that's the complaint.
