Donovan Ezeiruaku has the most pressures on the Dallas Cowboys with 10

I think EZ has close to twice the snap count as any other edge so I guess there's THAT too. He's at 120.

I mean, besides Gary. He's at 135!

Which further illustrates Gary's phenomenal impact, LOL

Lawrence is the next closest snap count at 70.

Yep, you're on the same page as me bro. It's like you mentioned earlier that there should be some "outcome of the play" taken into consideration to give the stat any value.

I mean, does anybody really care if an edge beat his man and ALMOST sacks the QB while the QB is still able to make a TD pass?

Are they really gonna measure almosts as some quantifiable metric even though the overall net result was still giving up a TD?

I'm with you, trust me.
Quit calling everyone, ‘bro’.

This isn’t a frat party.

Last year's defense, yes that one, was 6th overall in quarterback pressures and LED THE LEAGUE in pressure percentage at 31.2%.

So just maybe, some people might want to re-think their stance on what is and isn't a credible and effective pressure as a stat.

Get home or go home.

Ahhhh the stat that was pushed to excuse Randy Gregory.
I don’t care what any one says. That second round pick was worth the gamble. If he had his head on straight, he would have been an elite talent.

When you think back to the year we gave Irving playing well, McClain playing well, and if Gregory could have kept his head straight….. man, that defense would have given us a window.

And yes, I know it’s unreliable to think you could count on that. It’s just hard to look back on that and not wonder “what if.”

Pressures are measured by the chips in the players pads. If a defender is within 1.5 yards of the QB, it’s a pressure even if he runs past him or he steps up and delivers a completion without acknowledging the players existence.

results are what makes the gamble worthwhile and Gregory was not

I’m not a fan of the way Ezeiruaku haphazardly throws himself at the QB and never gets a sack. His nickname should be “Almost”. His celebration when Barham stopped Henry like it was his tackle kind of rubbed me the wrong way as well. That being said, I hope he figures it out and makes a decent edge.

I need to watch him more…..every time I see him he’s always in a stalemate with the tackle lol, just locked up face to face, not trying to speed rush around him, not trying to spin, no rip or swim or hump move…like a failed bull rush only. Ive seen more attempt at getting AROUND olineman by Barham just trying to get stops in the backfield.
