People say what has Dez done without Romo. What has Romo done ever?

I love the guy, but if we can critique Dez, we sure as hell can do the same for Romo.

Look it up for your self. Most would say we are a way below average team for years with out Romo. Not that we are way above but you never see any one say that about Dez. I get it you think Dez is our key to the SB, right after you say we need major help on defense.
You think that we can simply out score SB caliber teams, I don't. Not with out a solid D and spending to much for a WR takes the chances of upgrading the D away.

won the NFC East and beat Philly in the playoffs. lol My hope is we get this deal done with Dez and he will be a Cowboy when Romo is gone and a new QB comes in. Clearly right now if Romo goes down we are in much bigger trouble than if Dez or Murray goes down.

To be fair, the part that I believe is problematic are not the 10 year, 120 million. The part that is problematic is the 20 Million Guaranteed.

Well, put it into perspective.

Total $ rank among wrs : #1
Length of contract rank: #1
Gauranteed money rank: #5
Average $ per year: #4

That is not a disrespectful offer. The guaranteed money is very skewed among wrs with CJ's being way out of proportion to everyone else's. He got 49 million guaranteed. #2 is Larry Fitz at 27 million.

I never once said that.

About the major help on defense, yeah I agree. Same could be said about Romo. His big contract hurts us also. Brady, who is light years better, took a pay cut to help his team. Why won't Romo? Why does Dez? The same Romo with back problems? Fumbled snaps? Costly interceptions?

I guess we can blame the D for everything.

Romo knows he can't get it done by himself, he isn't Kobe or Brady. He should to take a pay cut. I'm not 1 of those fans, that just because he's doing good this year, I magically forget about his past. It wasn't to long ago half this board was ready to ship him out of here. It's still there, they are just waiting, like vultures in the sky.

The contract offer of ten years with only two guaranteed was an insult.

I think Dez sees this and if so he's stating his case. I agree with him this was stupid for the team to attempt to wrangle that type of deal.

Have they asked him to take a pay cut? I don't know. Who's to say he won't? I know Romo can't do it by himself. But I think he could with another wide out. Let Dez go to the Jags, how well will he fare there?

Well I can't argue with this.

I'm only bringing up Romo, because he is acting like Dez is the only 1 that should sacrafice, and Romo should not.. I have no issue with Romo, but I can tell he likes Romo, so I will put it out there, just like he is with Dez.

That's the problem. They shouldn't have to, if you know it would help your team

Brady didn't have to wait. Wade and Bron didn't have to be asked, just so they could keep Bosh, and make him the highest paid on the team.

Great players will do that.

His back would be done, by game 2. If not, he would have 9 picks come week 3

Then Romo sucks what can I tell you. lol So we don't know if Romo will make the offer or not at this point.

I don't think Dez is or should sacrifice but as I have mentioned before I don't think Dez should get any contract he wants. I have said it over and over he does not deserve CJ or Fitz money he has had very good season but never to the level they have. Dez may reach that but as of now he has not. He in my view is a top 5 and should be paid as such but any situation where he is looking for CJ or Fitz money sorry I don't think Dallas should. In terms of QB Romo deal ranks him 8th in the NFL QB's

Also I see how Allen Hurns is doing there. I saw what Shorts did to us.

Dez would still get his numbers. Playoffs? Maybe not, but he would produce more than Romo

If you could make 2 Jag teams. Put Dez on 1, and Romo on the other. I bet Dez has the better season. I also Bet Romo does not finish the season.

I don't disagree but the fact remains, it's not the contract size, it's the guaranteed money that seems to be the sticking point.

Oh I agree, don't even think Fitz should be getting that money.

I never said any one should sacrifice. I said I don't want the franchise put in a position to lose defensive players that are pretty good to sign one WR. That unit is already hurting, it can't take more hits to sign one WR. Dez should know this.
