From Talking Cowboys Broaddus mentions Mincey as someone who probably felt betrayed by the team. Hardy got more snaps than anybody down the stretch yet was still late for meetings.

That's a good way to lose the locker room.

Jimmy treated better players better than other players. Won rings. Difference is Jimmy had control of the locker room.

In the second half of the season, Marnelli built the line around Hardy playing the weakside but having the 1 next to him. It's a defense built around Hardy.

Yes. Many people would read reports of his actions and see pictures giving evidence of such actions and come to the conclusions you have. Congratulations on being pro domestic violence! Awesome stance dude!

These kind of comments are a big part of the problems in the world. I think it should be a bannable offense. Utter nonsense.

No..... we have to go cornerback.

Having a secondary generates a pass rush.

Selecting a talented DT or DE is not the answer. (jk)

They sure don't need another high pick spent on a man coverage corner. After all, this defense was supposed to need zone CBs that are available later in the draft.

Exactly..........when you start having different rules for different players, it starts to tear apart team chemistry.

Jimmy had different rules for his more talented players and the team chemistry was good enough to produce one of the best teams in league history.

Oh and for the record I do think Hardy has issues. I just don't happen to think that means he needs to be thrown away like so much human garbage. There are very few places in the NFL that have the type of support staff that the Cowboys have and we are uniquely equipped to handle a player like him.

The worst thing he has done since he's been here is tweet and be late for meetings.

For once , we totally agree on an issue.

What Broaddus had to say certainly doesn't mesh with Mincey saying the following very recently: “I would love to come back. I love the Cowboys. I love everything about the organization”

Several impending free agents have expressed their desire to stay with the Cowboys...to include Mincey, Hardy, Dunbar, Jack Crawford, Claiborne, etc.

Mincey was playing injured & didn't produce a single sack all season...that's more likely why his snaps were reduced, in addition to wanting to get some of the younger guys like Gregory, Irving, etc. more playing time.

Speaking of being late for meetings: "The Jaguars released Mincey on Friday after he was late for another team meeting, according to a source close to the team. That comes nearly three weeks after he did not make the team's trip to Houston because he overslept and was late for a team meeting."

Hmmm. Tough choice. Beat up Mincey who is average at his best or Hardy, who still has good football left.
Decisions, decisions.

Does not matter what Garrett or the team wants. IF JJ wants Hardy back, he will be back.

"Along the way, Hardy became a constant headache for Jason Garrett. The Cowboys coach met with him at least four times to address his conduct."

4 times?

Red not really imposing his will is he?

Hardy gotta go.

cant they both go? if i have to talk with you 4 times about conduct then sooner or later you must act upon those talks or they become meaningless. just like a cowboys victory in november these days.

Not good. I am not a Hardy fan. I was open to bringing him back though if he was good in the lockerroom during the season and if he did the right things as we entered the offseason (stay out of trouble, no PR issues and is at Valley Ranch working). If he wasn't a good teammate attending meetings and additional being a professional stuff, I would move on. Remember, he was only going to have a few suitors last off season. He was much closer to not getting another chance than having 15 teams bid on him. So he had to be on his best behavior and prove himself. Lord knows what happens when he get a multiple year contract at 10-15 million a year. Good luck controlling him then.

Also, coaches treat players differently. That is nothing new. Although to think Jimmy would have been fine with a guy being late, missing meetings or being bad in the lockerooom when you are 2-12 with that player who is suppose to be one of your best players....you are very naive.

This organization has a history of paying players for constantly underachieving and lack of discipline and accountability on Jason and Jerry's watch. Of course all the under achievers want to come back

was this before or after irvin stabbed a teammate? before or after the coke charges? before or after the "rape" allegations? before or after the whitehouse?

just trying to understand what part of the 90s cowboys were under his control. :)

Best of luck to you elsewhere Hardy. You're just not a fit for the good ol boy culture here.

He's not a good fit for any culture that expects their players to show up on time and take responsibility for their actions. Your a professional is it too much to ask that you make it to the damn meetings on time?

A productive player gets different and special treatment than a non-productive player. Ask Jimmy Johnson.

After the photos of the alleged victim were released, Hardy was not the same player. I wish him well in his future endeavors.

Not what I'm talking about. The control Jimmy had was on the field. He obviously didn't care about what great players did off the field. He had their attention on the field. While Garrett has neither.
