I absolutely get it and if there is a suspension with just the news we know then I'd be po'd but for the time being a) we don't even know if there will be a suspension and b) we don't know if we have all the facts so until something happens and there is more clarity we can't make assumptions.

Again, the NFL has always done things their way and always will until they change the system during the next bargaining agreement. I hate it but that's what is. I believe it was Brandon Marshall who was arrested but never convicted of anything 3 times. The NFL filed that under "personal misconduct" and suspended him 3 games.

Dez was charged, later dropped IIRC, and they just gave him mandatory counseling and a curfew.

We all know what happened with Hardy.

Josh Brown was never technically charged and served on game I believe.

My point is every case is different and so are the punishments. This isn't anything new. Technically none of the guys above were found guilty of anything either and all of their punishments vary. And for the last time, based on what we currently know I think it's all BS to but I also know the NFL has and will donwhat it wants and it has nothing to do with the jersey he wears until there is definitive proof.

The argument here isn't IF Zeke will face something legally or not, we all know about "personal misconduct" - that's exactly what I have been arguing about the past few pages. Zeke won't be charged with anything, we know this, authorities aren't even involved now.

We are now discussing if Zeke was EVER in the wrong in terms of NFL policies. Your examples are the absolute extremes and are in no way the same as Zeke.

Brandon Marshall was known to have beat his ex, it was such a problem that he had to get anger management and was finally found out he was bi-polar. Greg Hardy put his hand on a woman, and while it is still up in the air if he "beat her" or just grabbed her - we know the marks that were on her came from him. Josh Brown admitted to beating his wife.

This is, in no way, comparable to Zeke. None of what you listed had evidence of the women lying - which is what we are talking about here. So, unless the NFL somehow conjured up some new, hard hitting evidence that alluded the authorities or was never made public, there is nothing to get Zeke on.

Adam Schefter is hearing that while the investigation is still ongoing, Ezekiel Elliott is bracing for a short suspension stemming back to his alleged domestic violence incident in 2016.

If EE was cleared of those charges, and the league suspends him, I hope he sues the league.
It doesn't work that way. The league has the right to suspend players for actions even if there are no legal charges.

I understand what you're saying and I agree but as a little technicality, I'm not sure Brown admitted to beating his wife until after the fact. As I've said, no two cases are the same and most punishments aren't the same. Until we get all the details this is nothing but hearsay.

Wow I gotta hand it to you. It takes a serious amount of skill to get a dig in at Jerry in a zeke suspension thread. You poor poor soul.

It's not skill it's fact
Why is it that Mara and Rooneys seem to get their way at every turn
We have the team that generates the most revenue why don't we get the same breaks?
No way jerry fights it if zeke gets suspended

As far as the "growing sense in the league that Zeke will be suspended," I think the words "wishful thinking" might be applicable here.

Eventual opponents of the Cowboys in the future would probably like nothing better than to see that happen, I'm reasonably sure.

Rooneys get their way so I guess that's why leveon starts every year suspended? You don't know what Jerry won't fight you're just looking for a reason to be negative

It's pretty clear that it was supposed to 6 games after the Rice fiasco. Again, screams conspiracy.

This post is really dumb. That whole case has been made public and no, the NFL does not have some top secret information on that case no one else has seen. We know what they know. Seems like you support a witch hunt from Goodell, which is exactly what this is. You support Goodell just making up stuff as he goes because in your words, "behavior that needs correction". So yes, let's suspend a player when it was proven the woman was coerced to lie and made up the entire incident. Hence why no charges were filed and the case was dropped.
Talk about dumb. There was no case and no formal charges, genius, so you are privy to very little, actually. That's why the NFL is conducting an investigation. The police don't just turn over everything they know to anyone, including the NFL. The NFL can investigate anything they want, even parallel behaviors that are not related to the actual accusations. I don't support any of this, but at least I understand the NFL's power, granted to them in the CBA by the players.

I'm a Cowboys fan, so I don't want any suspension, nor do I want any further stupidity by an immature RB who should know better than to visit a weed store or to pull down a woman's top in public. Try being informed rather than just a pissy homer. God dell can do whatever he wants to do, so you should not be surprised if Zeke gets a suspension.

It's not Jerry's job to appeal player suspensions; that would be inappropriate. The players have a union with lawyers and an appeal policy. Owners stay out of it; see Kraft, NE, Brady.

But what actions?
That's the big question, the answer to which we won't know unless Zeke tells us in fighting it. The league is unlikely to provide details to anyone other than Jerry and Zeke.
