I think his point is that Gronk is a single man who parties and yet doesn't seem to find himself in sticky situations like Elliott has.

I could be wrong.
That's because he seems to be able to avoid the violent machismo bar fights.

What "decorum" did he violate? Surely you jest. He was present and is somehow (whether he threw the punch or not) involved in a situation that now has a police investigation. He's brought negative PR to himself and the Cowboys.

I can guarantee you that Garrett, Stephen or Jerry (or all three) are going to have a discussion with Elliott over this matter, regardless of whether he threw a punch or not. Because for one, they write his checks and have the right to expect better behavior and better decision making from a guy they are paying millions to.
He was there... so what. Surely getting out isn't a crime. How involved was he? You don't know and there is no way of definitively answering that question. It's all hearsay so it needs to be dropped... nothing left to investigate. The media is the one bringing the negativity to the public by not being honest about the facts. And you just eat it up.

You know what's funny about this whole thing? Your argument here is akin to "we don't know the facts, we don't know all the details, so it's stupid to reach a conclusion." Basically don't make assumptions without all the facts.

Yet you were the guy stating that Jaylon Smith would never play a game despite the fact you clearly didn't have any knowledge or facts regarding the situation. In other words, you made an assumption without really understanding what was going on.

Which is the point being made here by some.
What trouble is he not being held accountable for? Did he get in a bar fight or pull a girls shirt down to expose her breast? I don't recall those reports so help me out. Gronk parties... big deal. That's perfectly legal, folks.

No, I'm saying we do know the facts and they don't support the media's story that Elliot punched a dude in the nose. But all folks like you care about is the media's story. And unfortunately the commish cares about the publics unfounded opinion.

What's amazing is that people on here already had him convicted and sentenced because they prejudge or assume and believe every news report that came out. Smh. Wait till you here that facts. I'm not saying this is true, but I'm going to wait till we hear hard evidence that went on. Geesh!

Hell, less than a year ago I went 160 mph on the hwy. (1000cc sport bike).

Been a while since I broke anyone's nose in a bar fight but I did do that in my 20's. Had to go to court a couple of times and I quickly saw those partying days needed to go bye-bye.

Never drove drunk, so no dui.... actually never really drank much period. But I was plenty dumb enough to get a dui.

If messing around with women was illegal... I would have been in the state pen, lol.

Asthma, you pack a pair of basketball's !,,,anything over 100(really over 70 IMO) is pretty much placing your fate in faith and blind luck, as traveling at 160 the controllable 'variables' of the road,traffic/la-la land drivers, or bad timing like a simple plastic circle k bag floating across your face at that speed are beyond the average person's control/reaction capabilities,,,, the 'state pen' part cracked me up;):starspin:

You keep saying, "or not" meaning the media story is wrong. Why would he be in trouble with his coach/employer if he did nothing wrong?

The hwy I was on has the trees cleared way back from the road... like a quarter mile or so. My main concern is a deer coming out of the woods. On that particular stretch of road, I would have plenty of time if something did run out... even at that speed. You can see anything coming from a long way off.

There also isn't very many curves there either. Pretty much straight.

At some times of the day there is very light traffic on there and it is a new stretch of road, so no potholes or anything.

Basically a perfect road for high speeds if you're careful.

I had a friend who was riding on a country road that had some cars parked along the side of it. I was doing about 100 and he waved at me and just left me behind. He had to be doing 150.

As he passed the cars, a German Shepard ran out and he hit it at that speed. He hit a metal culvert and that was that. Killed him.

So I learned right then you don't want anything blocking your vision anywhere if you're going really fast.

Bro,I'm saddened to have heard about your friend, and I know I'm stupid for not wearing a helmet 90% of the time, but from what I'm picturing in my minds eye, a helmet didn't /wouldn't have helped
your friend,,,, my hair/ mustache kinda start beating me up at 100 mph
LoL
( I know two dudes whose helmet's saved their lives and kept their brains in their cranium and not splattered on the road, though)

You are propagating the modern day Master/Slave mentality. The NFL is the modern day plantation that thinks they can control every aspect of a players life off the field thanks to fans like you that insist on making it so.

Oh boo hoo. Cry me a river. So persecuted, while making 20+ million dollars. Again, it's not hard. If you don't like the terms or the rules, or the consequences, find something else to do. Nobody's making them play football and subject to its rules.

Elliott broke no laws and so why is that not good enough?

Sounds like you're jumping to conclusions as much as everyone else. Even if he skates by on this one, he's got a list of stupid things piling up. The only thing he's the victim of is bad decisions.

Thanks man.

I never ride without my helmet. Ever. I ground one side of my helmet down in a crash once. God knows what it would've done to my skull.

Well it's being reported that Jones had a talk with Elliott. So apparently the Cowboys aren't exactly happy with the situation.
Whaaaaaat?! No way! So you're telling me that all the people here that bash others for showing concern over Zeke's behavior think Jerry is wrong about this as well? I have no idea why, "he's just a kid" "let him live his life" "we've all done it" "it's not that big of a deal" "we're all over reacting".

It's not the terms of the rules that is the problem. Wrong doing should be punished but not until it is verified. Somehow public opinion that is driven my the media's unsubstantiated narrative matters to the commish... it's what got Brady suspended last year.

Why are you conflating "bad decisions" with law breaking? I didn't say he was making good decisions, I said he didn't break any laws. You are once again jumping to conclusion and now attempting to divert that folly to someone else. I'm not the one fool enough to get sucked into the media spin and think it amounts to a hill of beans. I don't care how long that list of "bad decisions" gets as long as he's not breaking the law he should be allowed to make all the "bad decisions" he wants to make. Who elected you the executor of what is or isn't a good decision?

Communicating to an employee does not equate to being unsatisfied with that employee. We don't know what was said so stop jumping tp conclusions.
