Would you take Zeke at 4?

As for the question.

The 2016 draft class was weak at the top. Zeke was the best player available. You could make an argument for Ramsey considering our lack of CB depth going into this offseason but that's about it...no other players picked in that range are lighting it up.

If there was a pass rusher there...the team would've took him. Fact is we don't go 13-3 last season with just any running back.

Hopefully this whole situation is old news a year from now and he can learn and move on...we still have 4 years with him as our RB1.

Nope. But I'd never have spent a top 5 pick on an oft-injured and short-lived position you can fill in the 3rd round. Also, I don't like Elliott.

But he is a hell of a football player. I don't believe for a second his troubles are going to legitimately impact his season. He's too good a player.
You are a pro at speaking out of both sides and I know you don't do it on purpose. This is who you are.
Kudos.

I live in Oregon, can walk into any store...(lol).
I would say I envy you, but I don't.
I can go into detail, but why should I? I leave it up to others to find Waldo.

Keeps others from finding me.

I get that a lot...from posters who've been on the losing ends of debates over and over. Not that we ever go at it, Corso.

It's not exactly rocket science what I'm saying, though. He's a good football player. I'm not complaining about that. He was overvalued at #4 because of his position, so no, I wouldn't have taken him. But I'd rather have a good football player at an overvalued position than whiff at one at a position of need.

The biggest thing in the top 10 is not to miss on one of those big contracts.

The defenders who were talked about pre-draft at at that spot: Ramsey and Bosa, both play more valuable positions and both look to have been hits, too. I'd have gone in either of those directions. Or entertained a trade down for a defender if there was value on the table. I wouldn't have added to the offense and certainly not with a RB.

Most reports said we have Zeke ahead of Rosa. Which was a mistake on our part.

Well put, would have rather had Ramsey or a slight trade down for Buckner, whom both play a more valuable position.

I'm not gonna lie. The Zeke pick worked out way better than I thought and Zeke is also a much better running back than I thought he was.

But I still maintain we could have Derrick Henry pounding on defenses behind this offensive line and added a blue chip talent to our defense.

I probably wouldn't now, but only because I see a guy that is changing physically in a bad way and may not have a very long career.

He's getting chubby now. What about three years from now?

And I was a huge proponent of drafting him.

Knowing what you know now?

Even not knowing what i do know now you never take Elliot.

I love his running style dont misunderstand me. And i love the back he is. Still you never take him with the 4th pick. Not worth it. Mid 2nd round ok. But not 4th overall.

But we did alot of strange things:

Romos contract
Crawfords Contract
Dez' Contract

You just gonna live with those things.

Great corners are a lot harder to come by then great RB's.
I'm trying to understand his reasoning. He's saying he would only take a CB top 5 if he was Deion level.

There's been maybe 2-3 guys in the history of football that were Deion level.
