Except that he was one of the best late 4th quarter, clutch time, QBs in NFL history.
The actual facts show that.
You guys obsess on the negatives only.
Dissect every little thing imaginable.

News just in, the guy was not perfect. Nor was any player that ever played.
hell, Tom Brady had THREE game ending, clutch time, game-losing interceptions in just one season. And he is/was much better than Romo, obviously.
I am not hating on Romo. I liked Romo when he was our QB. I am being honest though, unlike the Romo lovers on this site. The overwhelming majority of football fans throughout the country would say Romo made more critical mistakes in big games than other QB’s of his ability.

The narrative that Romo was done is ridiculous. Freak injury in the preseason, sat on the bench all season, his back would have been just fine. So easy to say that he was done but I call a BS to that.
Romo even disagrees with you.

Youre taking the opinions of people who probably only watched the last games of the Cowboys seasons words as gospel? Come on man. Only people who watch the final games and put waaaay too much on such games would think that about Romo because the numbers and eye test say for the most part that isn't true.

I agree. At times in big games Romo let the pressure get to him. This caused him to make physical mistakes( fumble the ball etc.) and make mental mistakes( indecisive decision making, when calling timeout, etc.)
and fumbling a field goal snap.

Romo was not a big game player and I mean his record in win or go home games proves that. As well as in all of those losses the offense never scored more than 23 points so it wasn't like he was putting up 300 yard games with 4 tds and losing because our defense was trash like what happened to Dak in 2016. Romo actually has never thrown for more than 300 yards in a playoff game. Everyone can believe what they want. I liked Romo as a person I think he is a great individual, but after 10 years on the Romo coaster I'm glad it's over. Was sick of every season hearing about him finally healthy or won't practice because of offseason surgery etc. etc.

Dez numbers in 2015 w Romo

7 targets, 5rec, 48yards, 71%

9 targets, 4rec, 45yards, 1td, 44.4%

8 targets, 2rec, 26yards, 25%

58rec, 634yards

The 16 game pace Dez was on in the three games he played w Romo in 2015. Those numbers look familiar?
Wow! What do Dak haters have to say about that? Your silence is deafening.

Because people can't accept the fact that their savior Romo will never win a ring. And for a small few back on the cowboys official forums racially motivated.

No expletive you feel the same way that's why you'll take the word of people who don't have a tv and or even watch Boys games side as long as it aligns with your view. Isn't the first or last time someone will do that.

And anybody that says that would be wrong.

People who prop up Dak's game against GB in the playoffs do realize that his QB rating was worse than the average rating of GB's road opponents that year? Considering how bad that defense was and how injured they were in the playoff game, I wouldn't put that performance above any Romo playoff performance (can't really judge the Vikings one considering they had 3 defensive lineman getting the same amount of pressure that Clayborn was getting in this year's Atlanta game).

It’s also fair to point out that he was a rookie QB, playing in a playoff game. Where everything is magnified and the intensity is far greater.

Go ahead and look up the history of rookie QB’s playing playoff games. It’s a really ugly history.

I'm just saying let's give the kid more than 2 years to crucify him or not. Romo at this point in his career was still on the bench. We all gave romo a few years we should do the same for Dak.

I'm just pointing out stats in win or go home games which are playoff games and the week 17 debacles with Romo at QB. We had a rookie QB that almost got us to the championship game, that we should of won have the refs not totally screwed us out of like 17 points. O and Byron Jones not knowing how to play zone coverage.

Yeah, it was dumb to play him when they had a QB that was more experienced and talented sitting on the bench. Everybody would have been better off had they given Dak some time to sit and learn, rather than throw him into the fire (even if the fire was as soft as it could be with an awesome oline against a horrendous pass defense).

“Win or go home games”? I thought we had purged all of these people from the forum. I was proud to say that we hadn’t had this term show up much in the last few years. Looks like a sock puppet is born...

Romo had 10 years playing Dak was the right move. History showed in playoff games that Romo's offense most likely would not have put up over 34 points.
