Dez was pretty quick as a rookie. He's lost a step or two.

I am going to save a people alot of time and misery between now and the draft, Sutton will be your first round pick come Draft Day. Book It ! Print It ! Jot it down whatever.

This team telegraphs almost every move it makes, Everyone knew Dez was going to be shipped off once the season ended, in some form or fashion.

So for those who are still holding out hope for OG, LB, and especially a DT don't get you hopes up too high, this team now has to save face for the Dez Bryant saga, and nothing else can make a splash more than taking a WR.

Why Sutton you say? the whole NFL knows this, and Seattle sits there at #18 which btw would love to trade out and get a few extra picks, so don't count on Ridley being there at 19 either, besides Sutton is more in the line of a WR1 that team always covets, big, tall, WR with a big catch radius its a natural fit.

Personally, I feel a good WR will be there in the 2nd, but no way Jerry and Co miss out on the big splash on day one.

Support your thesis. You tell us they’re telegraphing this pick, but offer zero evidence of that.

Maybe but if they were planning to double dip at WR I find it hard to believe they would sign two veterans beforehand.

As we have now many times, rookies WRs takes time. Not sure if this true but I read some Hurns and Thompson deals are only for one year, although their contracts are 2.

Ridley will not be there, like I said the whole NFL knows what we want, and someone always trades up in front of us to steal the player we want, that goes for Ridley too

I don't want to draft ANY receiver in the first round. Period. However, do you really think any NFL team is going to trade up to draft Ridley simply because they think we might want him??? Really??? Any team that trades up to draft Ridley will do so because they want that particular player because they think he's the best player on the board or because they really need a WR and think he's the best in the draft. If a team truly moved up in the first round to draft any play simply because they thought we wanted him, that is a laughing stock of a franchise.

Somebody needs some attention today. The "I Guarantee It" type posts are historically a cry for attention.

At least we don't have one per month like back when a poster from the past constantly had one.

We don't have many Fullback in the 4th mocks anymore either.

My first thought was to wonder if Courtland Sutton is going into law enforcement.

Would really be happy if we passed on receivers altogether but the number of pre draft visits suggests otherwise. Really really don’t one in Round 1 and only want one in the second if someone falls

I don't see how Courtland Sutton is a "splash" pick. I think the evidence is pretty clear that Jerry is caving into Stephen on every major decision. So, while it will be Jerry's inclination to hot dog it in front of the home crowd, I think he's been reigned in.

That's why I don't see us taking two unless both are taken in the back half of the draft, where we are just hoping one proves worthy of making the roster.

Yeah I could see a double dip even if it's a WR early and one real late but not two in the first 4 rounds.

Maybe because of the number of picks we have, but I think if we get one who is sure to make the roster (early rounds), I don't know if the team will feel the need to add a later-round WR to compete with Switzer, Thompson and Brown for the final two spots at the position. Maybe if someone is there who the team just can't pass on because of value, but there'll be players like that at practically every position.

I believe in Sutton, but 19 is wayyyyyy too rich. If they really hone in on him, I'd rather they trade back from 19 or see what 50 and a 4th can get you.

Dallas might move down and get Sutton then move back up again in the bottom of the 1st round or top of second round to get OL.

Or a team looking to rebuild it's WR corp.

I don't get the logic really. Should they not look to draft new receivers if they cut their old ones? Doesn't drafting new mean cutting the old was a mistake?

I agree with the OP somewhat. I'm getting the Sutton vibe but I won't pretend to know what the Cowboys are really thinking like he is doing. Sounds good but he's guessing.
He fits mold of Irvin, DEZ, that big WR who goes up to get the ball.

Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network agreed with you in his latest mock that was released today.
