Afternoon, Pops and pen pals. I'm back home from Abilene and the doc said the surgery went well. I have a follow up tomorrow in Willow Park to get the eye patch taken off and inspect the eye. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and well wishes. At least this time he said I could keep my head upright instead of having to look straight down at the floor for a few days. I hope you all had a good morning.

Glad the doc was happy with the surgery! Now you can put mirrors on your shoes because you want to, instead of needing to!

Morning, Pops and pen pals. TGIF! Thanks again for all the goof, er good wishes. It means a lot to me. My buddies and I have a golf date today, but it's supposed to rain. My eye doc said I could only put anyway; no big swings because until the retina has time to heal. So it looks like another computer/TV day. Have a great Friday!

Morning Pops and goof news about Leon's retina, on full display soon. Putting was my favorite thing about golf because that, and the tee box, were the only times I got to spend time with the other 3 guys. They'd be happily going down the fairway while I would be on a mini safari and a tour of golf course dwellers' backyards. Bit I found a lot more "island of stray golf balls" than they did.

Happy Friday or as it should be referred to "Cowboys Victory Eve". I've been shooting off my fingertips out in gen pop about winning this game so if they let me down, and I will take it personally, I may have to go in the poster protection program until the draft.

Morning Poops and friends. Good news about the eye, Leon. Thanks for the update and do what you must to get well and not have to repeat that surgery. I hope the shoulder is well on it's way to recovery, Runny and the hip on it's way to a salsa competition, Coach. I've rested my Cowboys mojo as much as possible in preparation for the Rams. The stinking Seahawks banged us up, but we're still in the playoffs. May the mojo be with us tomorrow. Happy Friday everyone.

Let's go! Leon, good to hear the news on that eye. Hoping you, Coach and Runny come off IR soon and that everyone heals up good and proper. Busy day (including bloodwork... my life seems to revolve around people jabbing me with needles!) Should be home from church in time for kickoff. Snow overnight last night and today so I guess I get home when I get home. You all have a blessed day. GO 'BOYS!!!

Good morning Pops and those lucky enough to have a way to watch the games today. So, around 4 yesterday, I turn on the TV and get this Error 771 message on DirecTV, go though the reboot and still no DirecTV. Call them and they take me through the same reboot and inform me that they'll have to send a tech out. This is cob on Friday, I figure I'm screwed since I live in a rural area but to my surprise they're sending one today between 12-4 so I still might make it. Ain't out of the woods yet but I am not stranded.

Bam! Pow! Zowie! Shazam! My new best friend, Chris, the DirecTV guy, was here early and has the ole CC up and operational. Now I have to keep my word to God and not take His name in vain if they do something stupid. Just kidding, I draw the line with my cussing there. I figure, I stay home instead of going to church to watch football, why push my luck? Booger has already tested His wrath by not opening the roof. That's why He watches the Pats and they have such a good home playoff record. He also can keep an eye on Satan and his son.

Morning Pops and everyone... woke up today hoping it was finally Saturday/gameday, and then... remembered. I'm glad we came as far as we did this season considering our start, but it didn't end well. Was quite a let down after getting my hopes up... kind of like seeing that plate of chocolate chip cookies in the break room at work and just knowing how good it's gonna be, but when you take what you think is going to be a big bite of chocolatey goodness you realize someone pulled a fast one and used carob instead of chocolate . Spit it out and hope for something better next time I guess. Everyone have a great day. I'm off to put a roast in the crockpot and head to work for a few hours. At least I know something good will come out of today.

Morning Pops and everyone... woke up today hoping it was finally Saturday/gameday, and then... remembered. I'm glad we came as far as we did this season considering our start, but it didn't end well. Good evening Pops and friends. This morning I was rearranging some pieces of plywood and wood in the garage. Somehow a splinter went deep in my thumb and a little under my thumb nail. Needless to say, it hurt like the dickens but not quite as much as the loss last night.

The off-season should be interesting. JJ has big decisions to make.
