Funny that you think these players are ACTUALLY mad. They aren't. It's all a facade. They're doing their jobs as the players and going about their day. You really think these players care about a win? As long as it doesn't cost them their money, fame, or girls, they don't care.

Just fire Garrett already, this season is done, no matter what happens because there's no way we are winning the SB or even getting there.

Lol, I KNEW IT WAS MY FAULT. Lets not even get into my game day rituals, where I sit/stand, lucky articles of clothing and the effects of wether I leave the room on third down defense.

If there is no hope this season, then why not wait until after the season when there is time to fully explore all options for a new HC?

I know man, you'd think after 30 years of fanhood Id learn to take an L.

Hope is a dangerous thing. Perhaps I need to be more pessimistic. I think Ive reached that point this season.

Don't get me wrong, I still get upset at losses, although not like when I was younger. There was a time in my life I would be in a bad mood for the next week if they lost, even when they were otherwise having an outstanding season. But getting older, and having kids, and now grandkids … the Cowboys are still important to me, but have fallen several notches back on what I find important.

But I can't really say I've ever felt "embarrassed", even in my youth, and even in the darkest years, because I never felt personal responsibility for their success or failure. I felt part of it - fans definitely are that, because the team cannot exist without them - but I know I don't influence outcomes.

And no, I don't think you need to be more pessimistic. The very nature of athletic competition is the belief in the ability to overcome obstacles and beat the odds, even if the odds are long against you. Why even associate yourself with athletic competition if you are unwilling or unable to believe in that underlying principle of it?

We probably will come out and play hard. But, the inevitable storm of mistakes will come anyways. A 3rd down drop here, a couple of holding calls there, the inevitable special teams miscue. I unfortunately am skeptical that we can clean it up even if we lock in now.
