I think Ed did all this on purpose to mess with cowboys fans. He cant stand cowboys fans or the organization (It is documented, he literally said both) So it would not surprise me if he did something like this

Jerry is known as a great businessman, and there is no doubt that he is. He has spent the last 25 years trying to convince everyone that he is also a great GM and evaluator of talent- on the field and off of it in the form of hand picking coaches. He has failed at both- miserably. He hangs on too long and gets emotionally invested in players and coaches.
This should have been a simple and quick meeting.

However- Jerry held on too long to a guy who not only that isn’t a great NFL coach, but who’s sideline demeanor more closely resembles that of an uncle or grandfather who comes to your kids pee wee football game and invites himself down to the sidelines to celebrate with the kids every time they do something good on the field

Well it broke about 10 last night on ESPN, was the lead off story on SportsCenter, and virtually every sports outlet is now reporting it as well.

That was about 8 hours ago...…….you would think if it was false somebody from the organization would have said something by now.

I think its a safe bet that its legit at this point.

I hear you and yet, I didn't hear it come from a "Jones"...Ed Werder may have had this leaked to him from stevie so that it is ALL OVER THE PLACE and ol' drunky-drunk JJ can't rescind on it or it makes him look even MORE the buffoon that he is with this "process"......

Yeah, but ESPN ran with it as the lead off story on SportsCenter. If its not legit, then it makes ESPN look like a bunch of fools and publicly embarrasses them.

Werder may want to jack around with Cowboy fans but he aint about to publicly embarrass his employer, that would cost him his job.

No way he didnt source this with somebody with first hand knowledge, my bet is Steven gave him the scoop.

What if Steven is the one who told Werder? What you are forgetting is that Steven has no love lost for Garrett.

Its was Steven, not Jerry, that went on the radio and said "Garrett must get the team over the hump for a new contract". He said that on 103.5 The Fan back in August. Jerry may think of Garrett as his adopted son, but Steven dam sure doesn't think of Garrett as his step brother.

And that is kinda important since Steven is pretty much taking over control of the team. If he says no new contract for Garrett, then there will be no new contract for Garrett, doesn't matter if Jerry likes it or not. Dont forget, Jerry wanted to draft Johnny Football and Steven said hell no, and overruled his dad. That was years ago, Steven has exponentially more power now than back then.

Who the hell is "Steven"? There is no person by that name in the Jones boy inner circle. Someday when you know what you are talking about, maybe someone will listen. lol
