But when you are routinely ask to score 40 or more points a game, you blame that on the offense? Lmao. Carson Wentz is in 1st place and just won a game where his team had 11 points in the final minutes. Oh, and his defense got a pick 6 right after that. Wow what a concept! Defense helping out.
Mahomes just won 2 games this year by scoring 23 and 26 points. And in both of those games, he was average. He just made plays when he had to but guess what, his defense held it together. Do you even watch football besides Dallas? I am guessing you don't. Any good team out there has the other 2 units help out. Defense gets turnovers. Special teams makes plays. Our defense has 2 measley turnovers in 4 games. Special teams has put this offense at the 1 and 4yd line because they are inept. And then you people gripe when this offense can't drive 99 yards and score.
Here's an idea, how about the defense holds down the fort if the offense is off track? Every single turnover and punt is magnified because this defense is on pace to be the worst in the history of the NFL.
Stop allowing the opposition to ream it down your throat all game. Have wide open WRs constantly running free.
This defense just gave up 307yds on the ground WITHOUT THEIR BEST RB for most the game. Allowing over 9 yards a pop to backups.
