Maybe they shouldn't focus on it, but they can't entirely discount it either.

A responsible organization must be prepared for all possibilities

QB is the strongest position on the team with Dak and he is in the prime of his career. QB is the least of our needs. But if you get a top 2 pick and no one wants to trade up then you HAVE to take one of these QB's. Simply cant take a LT or other. Way too valuable.

But to focus on QB, he is right. They probably wont have a top 2 pick anyway.

I’d take Sewell over fields and I’d consider taking Parsons and I’d do it at 2,but there are too many teams with needs at QB to think that someone wouldn’t be willing to deal.

I also highly doubt we pick before 5 and it’s possible that we won’t even pick in top 10. We play in the East I see 3 more wins if not more

If Dak can get healthy and play at the level we seen then I am okay with keeping him. That will allow us to use this pick to sucker someone else who is on the top of the draft board swapping 1st and getting their 2nd rounder and maybe even a 4th. Grab a top 10 player + have two high second round picks to grab some need spots and then be a little creative in FA and we can be competitive again.

IMO if dallas is draft in the top 2 picks, they have to go QB. Is Dak 25-30mil better per yr than lawrence or fields? No.

This allows Dallas to draft a franchise qb and add parts to their defense.
