another idiotic narrative. And THE coach works for an OWNER and GM like you if you have a boss who has boss etc you all are Yes men or you wouldn't have job,

saying no to your boss will get you FIRED..need a reality check to how this works. The NFL teams are structured like any business and corporations and being a fortune 500 type structure , you do what your boss asks or get fired or quit..those are the options..

Before proclaiming anything to be idiotic, please consider revising what you write. Good God, that's hard on the eyes. In the NFL, you don't have to say "no" to your boss to be considered a "yes man". Never fear, the excuse was already in for MM before the injuries (oh, he can't be expected to win his first season...even though Jerry claimed that he expected to win his first season). We are now in a new "process" era. MM will have all the time he needs to prove he can win without Rodgers, and to prove that he isn't just another "yes man" happy to be employed. Time will tell.

Jerry doesn't want a fearsome taskmaster. He wants a guy who is happy to get the job and will let Jerry be Jerry.

Jerry definitely doesn't want a coach who will get more attention than him. Urban Meyer is just a fantasy.

I won’t cry much when Jerry fires big Mike and his buddies.

we have no reason to be loyal to Mike.

he’s done nothing for us.

Just drive on.

get a new HC and fix the mess.

It's not about being "loyal" to MM and his buddies. It's about giving the man a chance, just in case it turns out he can help us win a SB, with a reasonably healthy team and a proper preseason.

Really, he had a chance to coach this team when they were healthy, and he got a full preseason to get to know the players' strengths and weaknesses? I wonder what team the rest of us have been watching.

Of course Meyer is a better option. He was a better option in January and yet we got McCarthy. If you think Jerry is firing him any time soon I have some bad news for you.

Nolan seems like a bad DC, but again, I'll wait until the team is healthy and has a full pre-season to work on learning his system.

I've been saying all along that UM would be a good choice in Big D. I'll also repeat: the one time Jerry stepped aside for a while when it came to personnel matters is after he hired BP. Let the HC pick his own groceries, remember? And it was going along pretty well, though I still say T.O. was the toy Jerry wanted more than Parcells.

Anyway, yes, it does work folks, with the right type of coach, it works.

I'm fine with firing him just because he brought in Nolan. Now not only will MM remain, but Nolan will too, and Jerry will believe we just need to draft to fit Nolan's scheme to be successful.
