Whats more important, winning games or worrying about how much someone is paid??? If Rush is on a win streak and has the offense clicking, LEAVE HIS *** IN THERE!!!

Its about winning games!!!
I think ultimately they should do what the team wants. Last time the team wanted Dak over Romo. If they want Rush over Dak they should stick with him this season honestly. Not that hard.

That is the only thing I care about. Winning. I don't care how much so and so gets paid. I don't care how much the Cowboys are worth. I don't care about player's feelings. I just want to win. I hope the FO, fans and players feel the same way.

Lol, I got some beautiful ocean front property on Mars for anyone who’s gullible to believe this load!
I wonder if you said this in 2016 when Jerry hinted around about the rookie saying the starter when Romo got healthy?

Does Jori Epstein write in English?

Dak is a bus driver, pure and simple. I kinda like Cooper Rush. He isn't flashy but I'd rather watch him every Sunday.

Give Cooper Rush time to gel with the team. He may not be great this year but he has grit and more balls than dak ever had!!

Of course he is. When he's asked or forced to step outside of his role as a bus driver, he gets overwhelmed.

That's where Moore went wrong in the first game.

I mean...

Someone else and I were talking about this after the game. Dak would check out of the run, and they would know where he was going with the ball.

This is about as dumb a comment as when JJ talked about Quinn being a HC while MM is still on the clock.

There is zero chance Rush starts over Dak bc the salary cap reality is what it is. Therefore— all this comment does is publicly undermine the QB you paid 160 million to last year.

I think this is JJ “musing” and planting the idea so that Dak doesn’t get comfortable— but right now, Dak’s confidence is shot.

He needs some loyalty from the FO and if anyone should be feeling pressure it should be Kellen Moore: “Fix our 40 million dollar QB!! Yesterday!! And if that means you scrap your cutesy offense to call plays he can execute then you better damn well do it!!”

Exactly. Jones biggest problem is, and has been for decades, he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. He should memorize these words:
"What's a question for our head coach."
I like the job that Cooper Rush did, but he's won exactly ONE game this season. And you're right, this BS torpedoes your starting QBs confidence. Now what if Rush loses 7 games in a row and then Dak is ready to come back? Now he comes back with trashed confidence, and so we just lose a bunch of games with Dak.

If Jones said anything at all, it should have been vague platitudes like, "We're happy to have both Dak and Cooper on our team." Then if they ask anything about who should start, it's the "question for the head coach" answer.

Some of the best advice I got when I was a kid was: When in doubt, keep your mouth shut.

I wish Jones had been given that advice and took it to heart.

Cowboys beat the Bengals with Rush but he didn’t play that well. Let’s be real.

You can say that about any QB that doesn't play well yet the team still wins. The point is the team really needed a win after the week 1 loss and Rush helped to provide that win.

When Dak took Romo's job:

Team was 8-1 (won 8 straight)- Dak had a 106 rating with 14 tds and 2 ints. 4 more rushing.

IF (he won't), Rush has the team in that type of position, then by all means...continue with it.

Interesting how you say Cooper Rush WON'T have the team in a similar position as Dak did in 2016....which tells me you care more about Dak's success than you do the Cowboys.

Right now all I'm concerned with is the NY Giants Monday Night. Rush is our QB and I hope he can help get the W and plays well. As for what happens down the line I fully expect to see Dak back in the lineup once he is ready. Warning to Rush these people praising you today will be the 1st to turn on you tomorrow. As for me on game day whoever is in the lineup I want to see the succeed and I want to see this team walk out with the W.

It's a weird place. You can't cheer your team on if you're not trashing a player on it.
I'm with you, whoever is in the line-up I'm cheering.

What we saw last Sunday was other players stepping up, particularly on defense.

In both starts, Cooper has produced 20 points.

Teams that scored 20 points over the past three seasons have won 48.6% of the time. That's not good odds.

It certainly helps to have a defense that is playing well but sooner or later there has to be more points and that is where Dak comes in. The Cowboys average over 28 points a game with Dak as the QB.

Cooper Rush is not going to displace Dak.

Fully agree, I like Dak but fact is he is injured and unable to play, so enter Rush a guy many here wanted cut and have wanted him gone for years now. For me I like Rush I think he is capable of keeping this team in the running until Dak comes back. People own agenda mean more to them that the actual results. Like you on game day I support the team that is on the field and pulling for them to go out and win.

I would be so totally okay with Jerry getting some non-lethal disease that took away his ability to speak (and gave him an uncontrollable urge to sell the team).

True Rush lead offense only produce 20 points vs Vikes last season and the defending AFC champion Bengals, I would say those are pretty good team. Moving forward to the Giants I don't know how many points offense will score or not but on a small sample size of 2 games in 2 different years I think it is stretch to think every game will be 20 or less.

That's the point of having reserves, for such an occasion. The underdog aspect is fun. Some fans got lost with fantasy football, where they build a dream team that doesn't exists and route for individuals. You see it all the time, people claiming individual accolades that are team statistics....

No because when it was reported that Romo had a compression fracture I looked it up, saw the prognosis for it and came to the simple conclusion that he was done. Just like I can look at the lollipop velocity passes Rush is making and come to the obvious conclusion that he doesn’t need to be on the field any longer than absolutely necessary!

Personally, I don't care what your passes look like as long as they're getting the job done.

The right play is more important to make then the pretty play.

I heard what he said on Mikerphone's YT Channel, and I noticed something about him during recording. I think it was his right pinkie, but he has a pinkie that's bent, and he looks much older than he's looked in the last year or so. Like, his age is really showing now I noticed. I do wonder if he's got some sort of cognitive issue that's really starting to take hold. His voice wasn't much different than it's been, but his appearance, especially with the pinkie, was a bit different. I'm not a medical professional, but I just thought it was an interesting to notice.
