You guys gotta learn to hustle the DT people. Never speak to the first person who attempts to help you. Always tell them you wish to speak to customer retention, customer retention has much more options at their disposal and will do anything to keep you as a customer. I got the Sunday ticket for half the price last year and they also threw in HBO in for 6 months free and the Starz package for 3 months free. Been doing it for 5 years now. Also dont ever renew the contract with them ot makes it easier to negotiate during football season.

You can do much better than that. Your deal should be a net positive for you. Whatever discounts you get should not only equal the cost of Sunday ticket, but at least several hundred dollars more over the course of a year.

Yep. Been doing it for years. It’s stupid. If your a new customer then they give you the ticket free the first year. I tell them I have been a customer for many years and why do I as a long time customer have to pay big money for something your giving to someone that’s shown no loyalty. I talk to retention department and had a manager tell me one year all I have to do is call every year and tell them I will cancel and they will at least give me discounts on my bill that will add up to the amount of the ticket.

Totally agree!

DirecTV has been horrible since AT&T took over! Horrible customer service....just awful!
I certainly wouldn’t have the need to keep Direct TV any longer although I do enjoy thru AT&T watching any program on IPhone or any device without using Data.

My problem is I have 5 TV’s in my sports cave which one receiver can broadcast on 3 genie remotes. The Sunday Ticket I can watch 3 different games at same time plus the 2 games I receive free on local broadcast on other 2 TV’s.

I can’t stream but one game at a time with lap top.

You can get the ticket free more than just the introductory year. I’ve had it free about 3 or 4 times or at least discounted over the 15 years or so I’ve had it. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Just threat to leave or complain about all the competitive intro offers. They’ll do something for you if they didn’t last year.

I just want a Dallas Cowboys (individual team) package. I don't need to see all of the games each week, but I do want to watch all 16 Cowboys' games every year, no matter where I live.

So much of this!!!!! I would be more than happy to shell out the cash for this package. It would be nice too if us non-satellite users could have access to it. Like, on my Xbox through the NFL app, for example.

I may be wrong, but I believe I remember talking to a fella from Canada that told me that they were able to buy "ala carte" NFL games.
They sell international packages to watch a team. I poked around looking at using VPN to have a foreign IP, so that then I could use the service, but worried that maybe they'd still block my account by the US credit card used.

So, I instead streamed at reddit nflstreams.

There won't be a one team only package. 99% of the people who subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket are doing it to see all of one team's games.

If they do, it will barely be discounted from the full package.

LOL probably break it up into commercial (AT&T keep for Sport bars) and residential ( bringing Apple, Google, Facebook, etc for huge separate $$$$$$)

On Friday, Commisioner Roger Goodell says he is looking into a streaming version of NFL Sunday Ticket and it sounds like the NFL might take advantage of an early opt-out of their contract with DIRECTV for NFL Sunday Ticket that runs through 2022, which would be just before the 2020 season, Darrelle Lincoln of Total Pro Sports reports.

The NFL is considering splitting up the rights to make games more widely available now that people don’t only watch at home.

they tried streaming in Canada and it wqs terrible. They brought back Ticket.

I doubt the percentage is that high while it’s induction was founded on fans a way to watch all of their favorite teams games.

I have several friends who get all of the Cowboy games but still want to see all of the games. Not to mention every sports bar in the country. Any serious gambler wants to see all of the games.

But I do agree there probably won’t be a single team package.

To me, it seems simply........just forced DTV to offer ALL residential customers the same $ 99-year package offered to college students or residents who living in apartments w/o having a subscription. Just download to your phone, computer, etc.

If they're concern losing money, just make the offer $99 per device ( computer, phone, XBOX) but sports bars continue to regular. The difference they'd lose slashing the price should offset with a huge customer volume increase. Not to mention, with a little marketing they could probably convert a certain percentage of these customers into regular DTV subscribers.

the only time I may ever agree with Goodell. THIS TOPIC. Its a way over priced and over-hyped product, for that matter, so is Directv. Me living in Texas where I do, I get all the Dallas games no matter. Don't need Satellite.

Good! Nfl Sunday ticket sucks

I live 500+ miles from Dallas and they told me “Dallas is a regional broadcast so we can’t show it in your area”
^^^that^^^ IS WHY I just use digital antenna and get all the games locally. Hulu is cheap too. Directv and the NFL forgot about the average customer being able to afford the products.

The Rams moving to LA sucks for me. I had to stream multiple games last season as I refuse to have DTV now and I live in California. Native Texan here who will never get used to living on the west coast.

The NFL popularity has outgrown the original intent of the product from the early 90's.

hey I hear ya. Im opposite. I was born in California..so Cal. Lived there over half my life, but the economy and many other factors, priced us out of living there. So we moved to Texas in 2002. The wife is from West Texas,so it was a no brainer. Sorry to hear your there lol. Use to be a great place to live for a family. Now its a real hodge podge. I love it because they live and breathe football in Texas,so we get all the games we want for the most part, and mostly without needing to pay through the nose for it. I wont go back to Satellite. They priced me out 2 years ago. No longer has any benefit to havin it. Go look into Hulu. They are very affordable...and get Roku. Can't go wrong.

I've totally switched to streaming at this point and man do I miss Texas. Born in Corpus Christi and lived in Austin until I was 34. I just had to move out to California for work and I've been out here for almost 14 years now. I'm a video game Producer and Designer, which is a really unstable industry. I've stayed because it's a rare stable position. Thinking about leaving though.

IF U JUST GOTTA HAVE THE NFL NETWORK, go try Sling TV. I tried it but it was too expensive and I got the games I wanted on my local channels. I can't stand the idiotic banter from Deion Sanders and others on that channel...no real content worth paying for. Sling TV wasn't for me.
