Zeke doesn't want to be Emmitt. He wants to make sure he has a long, injury free career with nice stats and can enjoy his money later in life.

Those days are over boys.

Take a look around at the NFL right now and point to all those players you would consider old school "Excellent". Where are they? The NFL used to be filled with them. Willing to sacrifice their bodies for the good of the team and their legacy.

Now, they are here and there. Splattered around. Going the way of the Dodo bird. And who knows? Maybe they are right. Why? It's a business after all. Isn't it?

Maybe it's the Boomer in me that misses the good ole days. Most probably don't.
Witten. Criticize him all you want but he came back on the vet minimum to win. Ewok only cares about the paycheck and he won, Jerry was dumb enough to pay him. Lol, what a friggin idiot, he panicked, payed Jaylon and ultimately gave in to a RB. Hahahhahah....unbelievable.

Earl Campbell is lying on his bed in pain, wishing he never played like that and his fans aren’t there carrying him to the bathroom as he walks in pain.

The other guys were trying to sue the league a few years back, blaming the NFL for all their concussion issues and the various issues they succumbed to as part of that career.

The only idiots are the players that think fans will be there for them, if they have career ending injury or they actually do care, because the clap one day for about 15 seconds at some award function later on down the road.

That's what I'm saying. So why do we still gush over the vid the OP just offered? Isn't it just stupid?

So players arent allowed to have down yrs? He had 25 sacks the previous two yrs tops n the nfl. You dont think teams were going to start adjusting to him and game planning for him?

Opponents have been game planning him for years and he produced. Having an off year after signing a franchise record contract isn’t going to endear any player to their fan base. He’s had a half sack in the last 7 games. He was one of the players we were counting on this season and he hasn’t gotten it done. Taco has had the same number of sacks this season as DLaw playing on a crappier team.

we gush over it for nostalgia and because it was an outstanding feat and because the long term repercussions Were avoided. And we won..

None of it took away from the moment, but acting like that’s a regular occurrence is absurd and that’s some standard every player should abide by. If Emmitt’s career ended that game, none of us would be there massaging his nuts because he was a Dallas Cowboy..

This is football, not life..

As him and every other Cowboys player including ex players like Scandrick, Church, Spears, Canty have all said this isnt marinellis defense theyre running, its Richards defense. The defense that created the same lame results on a great defense like SEA, the reason why Carroll canned him. Let that sink in.

I agree. I would not be massaging his nuts.

He’s a joke, even his supporters are starting to have a hard time defending him. He does his stupid “feed me” gesture one play and is tapping out the next. 90 million worthless diva, he can buy a lot of Louis Vuitton purses with that money.
It’s just blatantly obvious that 2016 Zeke was the anomaly year. The 2017-2019 version is not worth a #4 pick or the largest contract for a RB and each game continues to reinforce that so more and more people are coming to terms with it. There will still be some blind zealots that will defend him to the end like they did with Dez Bryant but that group is slowly but surely dwindllng.

One of the greatest games from one of our greatest players. Emmitt was all heart.
I was sitting and hidden on a dry creek bed that day, deer hunting, listening to that game on my trusty pocket radio and ear plugs. A number of deer passed closely, but I couldn't be bothered with them at that time. Even had a skunk cross in front of me about 10-15 yards away, but my whole focus was on following that game. I got a DVD of it later, and still consider it one of the best Cowboy's games of all the years that I've followed them, since 1961. WARRIORS!

This is what championship players and teams are all about. Week 17 of the 93 season with the NFC East title on the line. Heart and desire personified Emmitt Smith and our 90s team. Certainly didn’t see any of that this past Sunday.

Emmitt used to take breathers too. Dont make it seem Elliot is taking himself out alot.

first 4 yrs Elliot
1151 carries 5283 yrds 39tds 186rec 1617yrds 7td

First 4 yrs Emmitt
1262 carries 5699yrds 50tds 189rec 1035yrds 3tds

All you lames can say all you want, but Elliot is holding his own with the all time leader in yrds and touches. But he's weak and has no stamina lol. Nobody has seen this amount of use since Emmitt. Probably only Gore

And Elliot would be out touching emmitt if he wouldnt have lost them 6 games.

Has elliot been given a chance to live up to it? Or were the coaches too busy trying to force the pass? Jimmy Johnson said something last yr that makes sense that some fans will never understand. He said coordinators are always trying to prove they can be HCs. The good ones will win playing within the system, then there are others who will stubbornly try to win their own way.

Where is the lie?

Ertz came back in with a broken rib on Sunday. Despite a depleted team Philly continued to fight. I’ve been following the Cowboys for a very long time and have never seen a Cowboys team play so uninspired with the division title on the line. They looked like a completely different team than the one we saw just a week earlier against the Rams.

Rewatched both games to see if I was exaggerating things because of anger and you are correct it is impossible to believe the change in a week against an injury riddled team . Looks just like they took the dive against the Eagles .

Well according to witness testimony from a FRIEND of the woman Zeke was falsely accused of beating, the gold digging ***** Zeke was dating actually got those bruises from an *** whipping she took by another woman at a club/lounge.

So stop spreading lies.

It’s called sarcasm...

Loved Emmitt and his epic one-armed game is Cowboys lore.

But he borderline invented the "business decision".

It is probably why he lasted so long in the league, but he is one the first RBs I can ever remember that would run out of bounds to avoid a big hit that might get him 1 more yard.....something that might take long term toll on his career.
I bet he did it at least 1-2 times every game.
But not in the playoffs or in huge late season division games.

Did you see Cooper complaining about being taken out? Had Michael Irvin been taken out of a game with the game on the line he would’ve been ranting and raving but Jimmy wouldn’t have been stupid enough to take him out. Cooper wasn’t taken out of the Jets game he took himself out.
Yea because the media has never labelled a WR as a diva trouble maker. I'm sure letting that unfold on the sidelines on national TV wouldn't hurt his salary in upcoming free agency.

This is nothing more than you being mad at his production and the game outcome and making up a narrative to bash him. Please
