Um, we all want the Cowboys to experience playoff success, but what are we supposed to do/say when it doesn't happen year after year after year? Pretend it didn't happen? Not hold anyone accountable? Blame the so-called "mediots"? Disconnect our brains, wave our pom-poms, and naively "hope for the best"? The happy fans are just as annoying/obnoxious as the cynics, but only one group gets jumped.

We should be doing all that when we fail to win a SB

Every season is a disappointment if we dont win the SuperBowl

But I will not wave my pom pom because we won a lousy playoff game.....sorry its Championship or Bust

And I did not think I'd have to explain to you that playoff wins are meaningless without a Championship.

I don't agree, the object no doubt is to win a championship but I still take pride in playing in some of the all time greatest games in the history of the NFL even some that we came up short in. To me a it is a good season when you put yourself in a position to win it all

I don't either. Win or lose, I am going to enjoy football this year, like I do every year.

The lions have not won a playoff game since 1991.

Well if you live in the Charlotte area, some idiot named Packman starts his show off with how many days it has been since the Cowboys won a playoff game.

Dallas just needs to win a damn playoff game!!!

Yea right. Whatever. Its interesting to me that you never answer the posts on substance, you always resort to this kind of thing. Fact is, if it isn't Pollyannaville, then it is "sky is falling" in your world.

So, if you mean I post things that don't praise Jerry all the time, or Romo all the time, then I'm guilty of sky is falling posts.

Your point apparently is that Jerry wants to be the GM of the Dallas Cowboys. Congratulations on this profound discovery.

Yea, that was my point. You're so smart. Man. All our hero. I don't know why anyone else bothers to post a thing.

Actually I did answer the "substance" of your little thread.

After you have a dynasty like we did in the 90's it is not unusual to have a long period where you struggle.

The 70's Steelers
The 80's and 90's 49'rs
The 80's and 90's Commanders
The 80's and 90's Giants
The 60's packers

Sorry you are so young that you did not get to enjoy it ..... but I am not gonna let your loss get me down about this young talented exciting team.

And anyone can look at your thread history to see how you are ...... and even why. ;)

lol..... I'm so young I didn't get to enjoy it? Wow. If that is an example of your powers of perception, case closed, you're a loser.

Who says that I want to "get you down"? I'm excited about this season. I'm pretty sure I've said at least 3 times that I think we get a playoff win this year. Is that an example of what you consider "negative?"

Now, go right ahead and look at my thread history... see how "I am". (I think pretty fair, pretty accurate and truthful, and definitely not a mindless coolaid drinker)... and then you can also tell me "why" I am the way I am. :)

I think it is called being reasonable.

Hmmm... How about the 70's Cowboys? Wasn't that a decade long thing? Didn't we at one point have, like, 25 straight winning seasons? Then 1980-85 brought us playoff success didn't it? Not championships, but we certainly were in the NFC Championship game multiple times.

Now, how long was that down time from 1986-1990 (5 seasons). Then we won a playoff game in 91, Super Bowl in 92 and 93, went to NFC Championship in 94 and won another Super Bowl in 95. Won a playoff game in 96.

There were NO LONG down periods from when the Cowboys started winning, late 60's, until 1997. That 5 year period was as bad as it got.

We are now talking 13 years. 2 more years and we will have TRIPLED that down period from 1986-1990.

I say it doesn't happen. I say we have a great year this year. I'm just saying, don't act like those of us who can remember when our team was known for winning and winning big are out of our minds when we say that 13 years is not just a little down time.

So basically Mr. Reasonable ..... you are saying that playoff wins are the same thing as Superbowls.

Glad your silly standards are so high.

But in actuality ..... it was 15 years between Rogers Superbowl's and Troy's

But keep spinning.
