ARod done as of Friday 8-12-16

Good move all the way around.

He will go somewhere and get those 4 home runs. Probably Miami.

It's brilliant. It's the only way out of the last year of contract.

Edit. They said Yankees are still on hook no matter what. Except for vet minimum.

Yep.

I don't even see Miami picking him up.

Wanna bet? For vet minimum. Lol

they already have Ichiro and are actually trying for the playoffs...it would have to be AL and have you seen his numbers lately.......it would take all season to get 4 HRs

For 2017

There is no way that he accepts this punishment (4 shy) for stealing from Steinbrenner's last year of contract.

honestly, who cares about 700 tainted HRs....baseball walked away from Bonds and they will walk away from ARod....Arod wasn't punished, he was released because he stinks......he should have had those 4 HRs by now for 20m a year

Don't think so.

No DH in the NL, he can't field, his bat speed is shot and he would take up a valuable roster spot.

Exactly.

He can't field and no DH in the NL.

On top of that he's a pariah.

Lol

We'll see...

His ego can't handle this.... He'll begnmiami like Manziel begged Cleveland to take him.

Mark my words.

There's an unofficial report that Brian McCann cleared waivers... thus setting the stage for a possible trade.

This season in 88 games he's hitting .233 with 15 homeruns.

Gary Sanchez looks pretty good...4/5 last night with his first HR and he has a rocket arm...if we can get something from ATL for McCann that would be great...they are opening a new stadium next year and they need some names to sell tickets...

Atlanta wants the Yankees to eat a lot of salary in a trade, and has been unwilling to provide any prospects of note. The Yankees should keep McCann for the time being as a left handed DH until they can find a worthwhile deal.

He may also be able to play some 1B next season.

Girardi is certainly showing some bias in not playing Arod.

Jeter was horrible his last season... Horrible.

And Girardi not only kept putting him in the lineup, but he stayed right in the 2nd hole.

Huge difference between Alex and Derek.......and he was hitting a respectable .256
