lol

I can see why he skipped doing anything at the combine and only ran the 40 once at his pro day (they didnt even release the time but estimated at 4.52-4.55).

Nice story and all. Hope his dad doesn't get as emotional when hes cut.

Experts on here saying Gibbs was to small. lol And Vaughn isnt anywhere close to Sproles, other than Vaughn is shorter, lighter and slower.

Hes not beating out Turpin for return duties. Hes not beating out Jones or Davis. As backup.

So where does he fit? Practice squad. He can hang around a few years there I guess.
I have a general felling that this post will age like milk.

Deuce Vaughn is not a gadget guy my god.... Turpin is not the same guy as this guy, This guy carried the ball 20+ times a game for a RUN FIRST power 5 team and was very productive even against good opponents.. just say "I've never seen him play" and watch he is a legit RB1.
I only wich Vaughn was a PR to give him a bigger role.

Love the pick. I also can’t believe they waited until the end of the 6th for a RB, but Deuce is awesome

The Cowboys may try and use him on passing downs as a receiver to get him out in space.

Have no problem with them picking him. Its a cool story.

My personal opinion is that he'll have a couple nice runs in pre season and then have a nice career on the practice squad.
If I were the Dolphins I would’ve drafted him.

With all the weapons they have with deep speed imagine if they had a guy like Deuce Vaughn they have to deal with on top of all that.

Achane should be awesome there though.

You see thicker? I see the same exact player....it is scarey...they even went to the same college.
I do see a little thicker with Sproles. He was listed at 190 pounds and this kid is listed at 14 pounds less. Plus, Sproles was hard to knock off his feet. He had great balance and could run with some power.

in 2 years this kid will gain muscle.weight and be identical.
Doesn’t mean he’ll be the same player. Darren Sproles was a pretty special player and he was a fourth round draft pick. There’s not a lot of backs drafted in the sixth round that pan out.

The real question is who is pass blocking for Dak as a RB. Vaughn sure as hell can't and Pollard is just ok at it.
...and now y'all see why Dallas chose to go with the best pass blocking TE in the draft. It's all part of the plan..

Terence Steele is one of the best right tackles in the league and was undrafted. I admit Vaughn will probably be just a gadget guy but draft position is often irrelevant.
No, draft position is not often irrelevant. For every Tom Brady or Tony Romo I can give you 20 drafted players that had great careers.

Sure it happens. Guys slip for a lot of reasons.
Lets get him to camp and see what happens. I hope Im wrong. I do trust the scouts and Mclay.

Just seems a little to coincidental that his dad is a scout for the team that finally drafted him after 32 teams passed him by for 6 rounds. But its a cool story.
