College football is getting completely out of control, people want it to be too much like professional sports and it is losing its original purpose. It's meant to be played by college students for college students, for entertainment and camaraderie or a sense of identity for the school, and maybe for alumni to remember back to their college days.

Just let college football stay college football, they don't need to be competing for giant tv contracts and trying to be "number 1" all the time, with all these adults throwing money at the program. It should be enough for TAMU and UT to have bragging rights that year over who won, it's dumb to throw away that tradition.

You might as well completely separate the University from the football program

WOW a WHOPPING one title less than Nebraska has in all, don't be butthurt that Texas won 9 of 10 games while in the big 12. We also do good in other sports, you never hear anyone complaining about an unfair advantage NU has of playing the college world series so close?

Btw if your gonna get all selective on the national titles with the whole "40 years" thing, Id like to remind you how of the tally the last 10 years, a big ZERO for the cornhuskers in titles of any sort, besides idiots making a big deal about a game and getting beat by a 5-7 team at home. It's nice to see we are still in your heads though

Well, they did! The Longhorn Network has everyone in the conference hopping mad. That's really the catalyst driving all of this IMO.

That's the excuse A&M is giving, they are scapegoating. The truth is that very powerful people involved with TAMU have wanted to do this for a long time. Frankly it's the best move for them. They are gonna say it was because of the LHN but it goes WAY beyond that.

If this was untrue OU wouldn't have turned down the SEC just a few weeks ago to stay.

In my head? Only you decided to mention Texas and use it to make a potshot at Nebraska, in reply to a post that did not even mention, nor hint at Texas. So really, who is in whose head? You got it twisted, bruh.

I mean, like you said, we have accomplished nothing for a decade, and you have dominated us for over a decade. But yet you decided to respond to me when I even mentioned a team that should be irrelevant to your school and their greatness.
