Days where we're all talking positive about this team? Those days don't exist.

If we win 7 superbowls in a row with 53 all pro's/hof'ers...there will still be those Debbie downers out there trying to spoil everyone elses goodtime.

I agree Hos, the wins aren't enjoyable anymore and the losses... well lets just say I avoid the zone because while looking for insightful comments by fans you have to wade through a bunch of #$%^ and it just isn't worth it.

Not trying to criticize but how is it that what goes on on a message board can make one not be able to enjoy wins?

I have heard this a few times today and I don't know if I quite understand the mindset.

If the Boys would have knocked off the Giants and Chargers I would have been going crazy, no matter what the heck someone on a message board is saying.

If the Cowboys win two of their last three, they have a solid chance of making the playoffs.

And once the playoffs begin, anything can happen.

It seems unlikely now, after a two game losing streak (and looking a third defeat in the eye), but if the Cowboys beat the Commanders and go on a little roll ....

And yes, I look at more than just the regular season record for two seasons. There's far more than just the last two years records that went into projecting the Cowboys current late season trend.

When did I ever say I based any trend on just two regular season records with no other information? And when did I even say I based my 2-3 projection strictly on a trend?

Let's say the Cowboys lose a game... 3000 posts are made, 2750 of them in one form or another says Jerry Jones has got to go...now you and I both know that just ain't gonna happen...but the fan(s) got it out of there system... so you wade through all these post trying to find a good meat and potatoes post..(i.e. something a bit more definitive than Jerry sucks/Garrett sucks/Wade sucks) these posts become very hard to find.

Cowboys win you get...300 posts most of which is a call out to those who thought so&so sucked.


next time the Cowboys lose a game...3000 posts again most of them are saying Jerry Jones has got to go or so and so sucks...it gets real old real fast and it adds nothing of value.

every year i try to convince myself its gonna be different even though i expect more of the same

we lost to teams i feel were as good as or better than. we can play with the chargers and we are a better team then the giants. we just continually lack focus and always seem to have key break downs in big spots in games

honestly i didnt think this december had anything to do with last yr or the years prior. people act like the ghost of december past is haunting us or something

every yr is different but there is a reason for everything. thats how i felt coming in and i had to ask myself why is this continually happening to us in similiar fashion. its either a combination of the core group of players, the coaching staff or just tough december scheduling.'

our struggles so far is because we have not performed up to par both from a coaching and excution stand point. but also because of the scheduling. i dont think many teams can survive or come out over .500 playing the teams we have in december the past 2 seasons. i cant see anyone in our division going 3-2 with our december schedule.

but at the same time if your a good team you have to be able to beat other contending squads. you cant only feast on bottom feeders.

and more often then not we always come out almost winning but never being able to seal the deal in big matchups

im still holding out hope and i think we can play with the saints. im just hoping its not another almost moment. we need not moral victiories at this point

I had thought for a while that it might lay with the condition coach as he came at the same time the december swoon came...and that perhaps the players conditioning might be the problem... but that just doesn't seem like it anymore.

I think that maybe the team isn't mentally tough enough to play with the aches and pains of December...By that I mean, By the time December rolls around all these guys are hurting from bumps and bruises and our guys seem to lose their intesity and focus because of it. Also I remember a member of the team in 1996 (Aikman I believe) that said it was a mentally and emotinally draining season...That year we had lots of bad press (Switzer...etc.) and it just wears on these guys. So maybe that also plays a part in it.

good point. i definitely agree with you. this team has definitely been an emotional roller coaster. and they have to many mental break downs late in the yr that only supports what your saying
