I'm not even sure he makes the HOF if not for the prediction. At the end of the day, Joe Namath was really a bad QB. Shows what happens when you win won superbowl and become famous for it.
That stat is why they want Aaron Rodgers. lolCan’t believe Aaron Rodgers wants to play for the Jets. Must be the only choice he has if he wants to keep playing. Talk about a graveyard for QBs. Here’s a crazy stat, the Jets haven’t had a 4000 yard passer since Joe Namath in 1967.
All the media I've seen have said publicly that getting Rodgers will put them into the play conversation immediately.None who cover the NFL seem to think they’re better than a third place team in the AFC East even with Rodgers.
If he plays anywhere it's because he doesn't want to walk away from a lot of money.Rodgers is scheduled to make close to 60 million next season if he plays. If he plays with the Jets, it’s because he doesn’t want to walk away from a lot of money.
I get all my news from NFL Network and they’re still putting the Bills and Dolphins ahead of them. They have other issues besides the QB including the OL.All the media I've seen have said publicly that getting Rodgers will put them into the play conversation immediately.
It's pretty commonly accepted right now.
You think those would be the stats no matter who was quarterback? Or do you think had Rodgers or Mahomes been their QB for the last two years, they might have put up better stats than having Mike White and Zach Wilson throwing to them?Elijah Moore has put up less than 1000 yards the last two seasons. Garrett Wilson had 1100 yards and 4 TDs. Certainly not a bad rookie season, but a long way from being an elite receiver.
The Jets are having OL issues. That’s going to give an aging QB problems. The numbers would no doubt be better with Rodgers or Mahomes, but the Jets have other issues. Better passing numbers don’t always equate to more wins. You think those would be the stats no matter who was quarterback? I agree. But besides QB, their main problem is OL. If they can shore that up, I wouldn't be too sure they'll come in 3rd in the division. There's no sense in even trading for Rodgers if they weren't going to address the offensive line. The Jets are having OL issues. That’s going to give an aging QB problems. Lol what do you mean they are more than a QB away?great young WR group, top 4 defense both yds/game and pts/game…one of the best possible landing spotWho else has made a play for him? Right now he’s up for trade and the Jets are the only ones that have stepped up so far. They really don’t make any sense because they’re more than a QB away. Really doesn’t make sense for him or them.
I would argue he has a better arm and way more mobility than Brady when he went to the BucsHe should just retire at this point. Rodgers isn't Brady.
Yup…..he very well could be the final piece they need but the AFC is tough so I thought that the Panthers would have been an easier path to a SB…….he’s still got to get past the Chiefs and Mr. mahomes playing with the Jets.Lol what do you mean they are more than a QB away?great young WR group, top 4 defense both yds/game and pts/game…one of the best possible landing spot
I'm not smart enough to figure out all these different contracts and what it will cost the team and actually get the player, but per your comment, is this any different than the Ram's filling in their QB gap?Yup…..he very well could be the final piece they need but the AFC is tough so I thought that the Panthers would have been an easier path to a SB…….he’s still got to get past the Chiefs and Mr. mahomes playing with the Jets.
The jets have always been the red headed step child to the Giants in the New York market so they fight for headlines when they can. Getting Favre was their last big media splash and we know how that ended up.I'm not smart enough to figure out all these different contracts and what it will cost the team and actually get the player, but per your comment, is this any different than the Ram's filling in their QB gap?
Could be a smart move by the Jets, not certain. One thing I do know is they (Jets) were a good team that had QB problems.
End of the day, that's why a player has an agent I guess. They're supposed to be the experts on the players behalf.
beats going to Cleveland, j/k……..he’s got a stout defense with them and a lot more offensive weapons as well. My question is , why go to the AFC when the easier path is through the NFC if he playing for another SB appearance? Why the hell would he want to go to the jets
