This is another case of reporters gone wild. Step 1, sensational half truth headline. Step 2, knee jerk responses from fans. Step 3, $$. Step 4, return to step 1.
In this particular instance, I have to claim some of that guilt. :laugh2:

That's his own writeup of the Q&A. It in no way addressees the controversial MacMahon quote, and we don't even know if Archer was present when Roy allegedly said it.
So you are still going to maintain he did say it when there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever?

Yeah, that's a sane interpretation.

Archer quotes Roy Williams on the #1 receiver bit. That wasn't in the video. So he is either taking the quote from ESPN (which I think he would provide a link to if he were) or some other sources he is not attributing or he was present during the exchange.

He has been upset because they have not been in sync he has not said Romo it the reason for that. He has said I don't know why we havn't. Yes he acknowledge that Romo and Austin have been been in sync with each other but he did not throw Romo under the Bus by stating what we have all been seeing which is they are not on the same page that falls on RW and Romo and something they need to work out not something Romo must workout but both of them.

He threw romo under the bus on the hardline blaming last years problems on him, citing that ROMO called switch everytime in the huddle when plays were called for his position, so that owens would be targeted. That is the second time he made that comment publically.

So you will have to forgive me If I am not suprised if he says the same things again in the future.

Hos, reporters who make up quotes get fired. I don't think McMahon fabricated the quote that had Roy saying the passes to Austin are thrown correctly.

The TV guys are usually around for a portion of these interviews.

Roy Williams' words are doing him in. I agree that you can't blame the reporters in this case.

The TD that Hurd caught was not thrown perfectly yet he caught it and made a nice run. Not all balls theown to Austin, Witten and Crayton are thrown perfectly. They catch some and they drop some. There were some balls right in Williams hands that he plain dropped. Other receivers have done the same.

The thinkg is, you hear none of the other receivers talk about how they don't get perfectly thrown balls their way. So when Williams paints that picture - that the rest do and he is the only one that does not - then it's not only a lie, it also paints Romo in a bad light because he puts the onus on how the ball is thrown (which is the QBs function) without mention about his own accountsbility for running bad routes or not making the receptions he should be making on catchable balls. Instead of emphasizing this, he emphasizes how the ball is not perfectly thrown to him.

Hey Roy, Perfectly-Shmerfectly! Why don't you just crap or get off the pot.

Bottom line!

As the OP, feel free to change the title of the thread if you'd like, but there's no debate on whether or not the intention of this article posted on ESPN's front page and content was to stir the pot (which is what the title is in reference to).

both these guy are doing things wrong. Roy is all over the place with his routes and when he does run them correctly he either drops the pass or Romo throws a terrible pass that's uncatchable. they gotta get this figured out cause it's really embarrassing. the 49er qbs aren't having trouble getting Crabtree the ball or Mark Sanchez isn't having trouble getting Braylon Edwards the ball.

Exactly. For some reason. Romo misses bad when he throws to Roy. Its ugly to watch.

You said:

Thats incorrect.

He admitted his own mistakes once. He has made many, but the week he got boo'd off the field and austin was a game breaker he did it.

Listen to him talk, he talks in general terms about what he needs to correct and usually makes specific examples of what romo needs to do.

he has talked like that since he got here.

Romo could talk the same way about him but never has. he always says we will get it figured out.

thats where my beef is with the guy. Just be about the group. We will fix it.

and my comments orginally were on him blaming romo this week, because of all weeks he has no right to do it this week after the atlanta game, no matter what he said.

So I am glad he didnt say this stuff.

And that's been the case with every pass thrown at Williams this season thus far, yes or no?

If we had a coach with balls, this guy would be on the bench for the first half of this game.

It will never happen, but it should.

Yeah, that's a sane interpretation.

At least I use words like "if" and "allegedly." Conversely, you've already determined that Mac is lying based on nothing more than your predictable prejudices. You a mind reader now? Heal thyself.

If Brady Quinn would have been throwing those passes they would have gently landed in Roys hands everytime.

And he would have been shirtless.

At least thats how it is in McCordsvilles dream.

And you said he didn't, specifically with regard to the Atlanta game for which you were harping on his performance. Yet, he says it was his worst performance ever.

Thus, incorrect.

Actually, you did. My apologies.

It just seems like as usual you are quick to believe the worst. That is your own fault BTW. I am merely following the schtick.

Can't say I recall where Hostile said that. Maybe you're the mind reader.
