You guys were right. I was a Roy apologist, now I've opened my eyes and have seen the light. First class clown!

Welcome to the dark side.

This guy really is annoying.

he has been this way all year, just say nothing or just only talk about the overall production of the wr as a whole.

but he cant do it because his ego is too big and personal stats are as importabt as winning.

Really annoying guy.

And I can read the same thing and come away with at worst he's master of the obvious and likely just stating the facts. If he did this in the best Whiner Family voice then it's annoying. I suspect this was just delivered matter of factly and it's something we'll work out in the end.

Perception is reality but some perceptions are more real.

Excuse me if I don't jump on the RW11 hate wagon. Despite the all-knowing, retired NFL caliber wide receiver coaches that frequent this forum I think I will take the HC's word for it that Roy is still very talented, Romo is still very talented, and that yeah it's frustrating they don't have a good connection but as long as they receivers are making plays it's ok to not jump off the edge.
To suggest Roy Williams is a bum is just stupid. The guy has huge talent. There's plenty of video evidence out there dating back way before the NFL to support that fact. Romo is playing great right now and has chemistry especially with Miles (thankfully) but why he and Roy don't is a mystery to a lot of people. People who watch them every day. People who watch hours of film on them. They are having good practices and as Wade said just today "Roy made an amazing catch behind his back, we had to watch it over and over, no one could believe it."
It's frustrating because the potential is there, and btw if Roy really did say what was aired (although I haven't heard him actually say it- just that he supposedly said it) it was pretty dumb to vent to the media because they are really wanting to blow up that story.

Anyway say what you want but when things start clicking, kinda like how Miles suddenly broke out.... because I see no reason to dog the guy as long as he's putting in the work and the coaches believe in his ability.

blah blah blah

You sheep are such enablers for the cancer that is RW.

I love how people are labeled as "sheep" for realizing that there is always more than one side to a story or, [gasp], supporting a team and/or it's players.

Not to mention, I doubt fans have enough power over RW to be "enablers."

Hyperbole much?

Remember when Roy first got here and talked about how he didn't care who got the ball as long as the team was winning?:liarliar:

No matter what he does (or doesn't do) his followers will never find him at fault - such as it is for those who love the player more than the team.

That was just talk.

It is kind of like him being the #1 WR on the team - that is just talk.

Actually he said it today, as well. It just gets lost in all the muck being tossed around.

"I'm not mad at anything by no means," Williams said. "I'm getting my chances. It's just not connecting. I'm not going to rant and rave and be pissed off. I'm going to continue to work."

The Cowboys' three-game winning streak, as well as the offense's success (four games over 30 points) has helped Williams' spirits.

"That definitely makes it easier, and all those guys are coming through for us. It's a great offense," he said. "I can pout and be mad and not participate but I'm still out there run-blocking and trying to screen the runners to score and all that stuff.

"It's fun. It's fun to watch this offense go."

I thought the deportation of Mr. Owens to Buffalo was to promote a "Romo Friendly" atmosphere at Valley Ranch. When Jerry jettisoned Terrell I thought Romo would emerge as a bonifide leader of this team, grab the bull by the horns if you will. While I do think that Roy should have chosen his words more carefully,I also fault Romo for not taking charge of the situation. The face of the franchise should be explaining to the media any lack of success, not Roy Williams.I also look back to the Denver game and Miles Austin running the wrong route.Romo should have took one for the team instead of leaving Austin out on a limb over the "play".If Romo wants to be a "franchise quarterback" he needs to grow a pair and get a death grip on the locker room, until he does that you will continuously have episodes like today.Point is Romo needs to command and demand respect from every player on the roster and eliminate the "T.O." re-runs.

I guess you can label me a "follower." More realistically, I support him as a Dallas Cowboy.

Someone posted here earlier about how my view doesn't have to be the polar opposite of yours (generally speaking). I guess it's nice and easy to lump everybody who doesn't jump on the "hate RW" bandwagon as sheep, but there are definitely shades of gray. I think his play has been mediocre and that he has said some things that are just dumb, but I can also realize when things are getting blown out of proportion.

So, your assertion that "his followers will never find him at fault" is clearly false. It's exactly this black and white line of thought that cause so many problems around here.

How many Pro Bowls has Witten made with Romo throwing the ball?

Exactly!!!

When a reciever starts to use "how the QB throws the ball" as an excuse for poor play, it is time to get a new receiver.

Hey Roy, how bout those balls that hit you right in the hands and you drop them??? I guess that is Romo's fault too, he didnt put the correct rotation on the ball for you.

Just shut the hell up Roy, I am tired of listening to your excuses every single week as to why you suck. Also Roy, you are the only guy on the planet that still thinks you are the #1 on this team, it is just pathetic at this point.

I don't claim to be an expert on football but i know what i see. Galloway got hurt right off the bat so i'll give the trade a pass and he did bounce back on another team. When Key got here i saw a slow off the line overrated guy that just wasn't that good. Then Glenn came and he was a baller and you could see it right away. So was TO for 2 years. Then i watch Roy and i see a very VERY average guy. If you took the guy in the 1st you'd be calling him a bust like Carp, nevermind what we gave. I really did think Roy was better than he's shown, but i have to go with my eyes on this one.

Too many people wanted to believe it was just the Detroit suck that we were seeing and that a full offseason would turn Roy into a probowler.

When I watch Roy on Sunday, I still see Detroit suck.:bang2:

Ok...sooo we make a trade to pick up a WR, then cut a Drama Queen WR ( that we end up replacing with the traded WR ) & he ends up being a Drama Queen as well with LESS production? :bang2:

That about sums it up, we should have just kept TO.

Yea he pissed and moaned about not getting the ball enough, but at least he came to play on Sunday. What we have now is a much worse situation, we have Owens without the production.:(

Judging by this reaction and the media's trigger response, I have to really wonder if Roy has any idea what is about to hit him. It's like what Irvin told him..."In Detroit, nobody knows. In Dallas, everybody knows."

I think Roy's about to get a big dose of everybody knows.

got all excited tonight..
