I'm a big fan of both Roy and Tony. When they get it going, the rest of the NFC is going to be in deep doo doo.

He is right on a couple of throws, but that is the problem with him.

he had two balls thrown to him perfectly against atlanta. the back shoulder stop route he didnt catch, and the perfectly thrown low ball to him on the dig or cross he was running.

the low ball was thrown perfectly for him to catch it and protect his side.

He dropped the stop route and alligator armed the dig/cross.

Yet he goes to the media every wednesday and harps on the high throw that romo missed him on, and yes he missed him.

he says nothing of his own mistakes. In his opinion he is an elite wr, he is a number 1, romo should cater to him.

Except that his not how it works in team sports.

I said it a couple of weeks ago and people blamed the media. he could squash this in a second, but he doesnt because of his ego and his personal stats.

Its really annoying.

RW did take full responsiblity after the Alt game about his own play he did not put that on anyone

It wasn’t the rust. Or the ribs. Or the medication. Roy Williams said Wednesday that he "just played terrible" against the Atlanta Falcons.

"I don’t know where I was," said Williams, whose teammates called him Daisy Duke on Wednesday after he wore cutoff game pants to practice. "I guess I was with Martellus [Bennett] on Jupiter or something.

"…The thing I’ve got to do is I have a chance to get better this week. I’m glad this wasn’t the last game of the year, because I’d have to live with this for four or five months. That taste is out of my mouth. I’m ready to roll, ready to catch the ball and do the things that I’ve been doing."

Williams caught one pass for 16 yards against the Falcons. He was targeted on five others, two of which were drops. After the game, Williams, who had missed the Kansas City game with cracked cartilage in three ribs, called it the worst game of his life.

"He had some opportunities," Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett said. "A couple of them were tight, contested plays. We didn’t convert for whatever reason. He is going about it the right way. He’s been in and out of the lineup with the injury, but he’s approached it the right way and playing better and better, and I think we all believe those connections will come."

Detroit said we want to move RW to be able to get more players to rebuild the talent level on the roster. Translation= addition by subtraction

 Are you kidding me? He actually said this? I've been rooting for him, waiting for him to make us feel justified in making the trade, but we just can't have this type of divisiveness on the team again. I agree with the quote, but you can't say it publicly. At least he used the word "our" when explaining the situation. I wonder if this was taken out of context of he said it just like this. If anyone comes across a video, please post it.

Dumb thing to say. Very TO like.

Just say "it's not happening right now, and it will hopefully in the future."

Exactly!

Stupid is as stupid does I guess

To this whole board, overreaction much?

He's said already that the balls are not where they're supposed to be. It's not something we haven't seen already. It also has been said by him previously.

You guys are just overreacting to the silly and inappropriate attention seeking title.

Not this!

The good thing about Roy is he's no T.O. in the locker room. T.O. carried a lot of weight with a lot of players and could cause problems and divide. Roy isn't a heavyweight in the locker room so i doubt his mouth will cause much of a stir. At this point guys probably just roll their eyes and shake their heads at what a whiney little ***** this guy is becoming.

That's a good point.

Owens had followers. I doubt Roy does.

I am quickly learning to hate this guy. His smug smile and laziness, he's got a serious case of loseritis from his time in Detroit.

It didn't come from Detroit - it goes back all the way probably to junior high texas football. He has been coddled and appeased his whole life and he has a rotten attitude and is not dedicated to improving himself as a football player. The league has probably caught onto the fact that he can only run about 2 or 3 routes so they sit on them knowing they can catchup if they guess wrong because his speed is gone.

He should be suspended ASAP unless he apologizes for his remarks publically. At the very least, he should be demoted - the offense will click better without him out there anyway. The only reason he has been on the field is they are trying to get things ironed out between him and Romo so that connection will be there come playoff time.

LOL. Nice qualifier.

Here, let me tell you what his life story probably is. If not true, who cares I only said it was "probably" true.

He had 3 balls thrown incorrectly in the Seahawks game and that's probably all hes referring to. If they connect on those 3 balls, he has nearly 100 yards or more and 2 TDs.

yep.

But the way he always portrays it, is that he hasnt had any good opportunities and thats not true.

for instance, Romo could say to the media today, If I throw that stop fade to austin I know he will catch it.

Imagine 11's reaction to that, but its exactly what roy just said.

and judging from the atlanta game, you could make the case that if those 3 balls hit him in the hands against seattle, its 50-50 he catches it.

romo handles this well, roy handles it like a guy defending his own ego.

I hope it all gets straightened out.

right, so he should just leave it at that. No need to make these passive/aggressive comments about romo that get everyone all excited.

He screwed the pooch against atlanta and romo missed him a couple times against seattle. Just leave it alone.

Roy's making it real easy to hate him being on this team and I'm not talking about just because he's a former Bonghorn either....

"He gets the ball thrown correctly his way," Williams said of Austin. "I'm stretching and falling and doing everything. Everybody [else] who's been here's balls are there. Our footballs [from Romo to Williams] are everywhere right now."

Im not sure he is. If you look at the statement in whole it sounds more like he is saying that Romo and the receivers that he has chemistry are in sync and that he and Romo are not.

You would think he would know better then to say something like this, but I dont think he is trying to put the blame on Romo.

That sure sounds to me like he thinks the balls are being incorrectly thrown his way.

Peer pressure is a very good motivator.

If I was Marc Columbo or Bigg Davis I would get right in Roy's face and tell him to catch the damn ball when it comes his way, study his plays and generally ****. If he didn't like it he could deal with one of those boys.

I didn't think it was possible to say this but he may be the dumbest player ever to wear the star. :bang2:

And yes, I remember Troy Hambrick.
