It didn't come from Detroit - it goes back all the way probably to junior high texas football. He has been coddled and appeased his whole life and he has a rotten attitude and is not dedicated to improving himself as a football player. The league has probably caught onto the fact that he can only run about 2 or 3 routes so they sit on them knowing they can catchup if they guess wrong because his speed is gone.

He should be suspended ASAP unless he apologizes for his remarks publically. At the very least, he should be demoted - the offense will click better without him out there anyway. The only reason he has been on the field is they are trying to get things ironed out between him and Romo so that connection will be there come playoff time.

*facepalm* x 10....

"what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. "

right, so he should just leave it at that. No need to make these passive/aggressive comments about romo that get everyone all excited.

He screwed the pooch against atlanta and romo missed him a couple times against seattle. Just leave it alone.

I posted that because you said "Yet he goes to the media every wednesday and harps on the high throw that romo missed him on, and yes he missed him. he says nothing of his own mistakes"

That is not true he did man up to his mistakes. He is not out hunting down reporters he is being asked a question and anyone watching the games damn well knows their timing is not on right now he is getting balls behind him and high the timing for whatever reason right now is not there.

The timing with Austin on the other hand has been great whatever the reason does not change the fact that Romo and RW just do not seem to get getting on the same page and the only thing I know that can resolve that is by continue working on it.

Yes he has dropped passes as well but he has taken responsibility and the only way this get resolved is by him and Romo continuing to work on it. Romo knows it and has said it himself. What we have here is overzealous TO fans who have been looking for a reason to go off on RW.

Wow, great segment by Coach Joe on GAC. Laid it all at Roy's feet.

This is why he will make a great head coach. Are you listening Jerry? Has the Singletary "it" factor.

You're all over-reacting.

And this is coming from someone who hated the Roy Williams trade and subsequent contract.

Damnnnnn Roy. You took the bait. This is TO all over again. Goodness. The only thing that can salvage this is if Roy has a beastly day on Sunday.

I didn't think it was possible to say this but he may be the dumbest player ever to wear the star. :bang2:

And yes, I remember Troy Hambrick.

Why do you question his intellect? I mean he's making some stupid comments but does it make him dumb?

That sure sounds to me like he thinks the balls are being incorrectly thrown his way.

That's exactly what he's saying.

If he feels that way, fine. Take it up with the QB or Garrett or the receivers coach.

But he is publicly blaming his quarterback, who doesn't seem to have any problems with any of the other receivers.

"Coach Joe" being Joe Decamillis? or Avezzano? or Paterno? or Torre? or Dirt?

So taking responsibility is OK when you critize someone else too? A professional simply answers we need to get better I am doing X and Y to fix this. End of story - next question.

Instead, he says....I messed up up this and this, oh and by the way did you see the crappy throw Romo made? I had to reach for it. What a crock of dung.

Nice try. I have no dislike of roy. I dont think he is anything like owens.

What I dislike about what he is doing is that everyweek he keeps talking about how good HE is and how HE is elite but its just not working right now.

the week leading into the atlanta game, he did numerous interviews reminding everyone how good HE is and how Austin would have to keep it up to be as GOOD as HE Is.

He told the hardline here that he views himself as the elite of the elite. He told the hardline that day that ROMO was calling switch in the huddle so that the ball would go to owens and not him, laying his failures last year all on ROMO. He took no responsibilty the week into the falcons game for the struggles.

then he was putrid against atlanta and had to admit his errors.

now as soon as he gets a chance to say its not ME its him again, in his own passive aggressive way he does it.

none of it is neccessary. he is helping the team with his blocking and he is still going to catch a bunch of balls. he doesnt need to worry about his own ego or own stats. And that is my problem with him.

Do I think he is a prima donna with an enourmous ego, YES. Watching him in training camp was a real turnoff for me. However almost all the wr are that way in this league, so I am generally turned off by most of them.

I believe he could squash all this stuff by simply talking about the team and the wr as a groups production as opposed to what they did and he did. that is what the backs do. He could do it too.

I wish he would become barber jr more than anything and not talk at all.

I wouldn't call BS. Probably just from a different interview.

Roy Williams: Frustrated
Roy is frustrated that he and Romo are not farther along with their quarterback-receiver chemistry.

Video: http://www.dallascowboys.com/multimedia/multimedia_center.cfm?id=C0AD348B-CCC5-B300-484EBDBBC2FCF3D4 (7:48)

if this thread started off of comments made from this press interview, I'm not seeing it. Put yourself in the position of having a dozen cameras and microphones in your face, I thought he handled it ok.

With that said, I would have rather heard Roy say Tony and I are all good and we'll get the disconnect figured out soon and you'll see the results instead of "I'm a coachable wide reciever blah blah", but what ever.....I'm not seeing the finger pointing here.

Just a guy under a lot of pressure in a huge media market trying to say the right things and getting the interview session over with.

It's time for him to deliver OR maybe the team doesn't need him.
