Loleasy to do, and wouldnt change a single thing about the playoffs. Not sure why they didnt do this.
Because it made too much sense!

thats what I say. Im ok if the BILLS dont want to play, but since nobody cares about seeding or the game(supposedly) just give the Bills a forfeit loss.Give the bengals the win
Lol

so the date of the game somehow will costs the networks money????????????????????????????This thread isn't about "craziness being discussed". It's been decided, and there isn't an extra team in the playoffs.
Pushing everything back one week affects the TV networks involved, who have other things scheduled the week before the Super Bowl. The money they pay is a factor.
Oh!It would've affected a weekend of programming for the TV networks (the week before the SB). They're paying the NFL $10 billion/year. They were part of the discussion.

but if they face each other in the playoffs.. are they going to not play?I think that is the right decision. I think that replaying it would be traumatic for the players.
My head hurts.
oh please.... what is on the schedule that week? How bout when they moved games all over the place due to covid.... did you ever hear a word about the networks complaining about having to move their schedules around?? If weather cancelled a game and they had to move it a week, the networks would gladly move anything else to play and air that nfl game. They have other things scheduled the week before the Super Bowl. Changing that schedule affects other contracts with other entities. This shouldn't need explained.

Exactly! Everyone kept saying they didn't care about the game, then shouldn't care what outcome the NFL gives themthats what I say. Im ok if the BILLS dont want to play, but since nobody cares about seeding or the game(supposedly) just give the Bills a forfeit loss.
why is that??? everyone has been prayinMine as well, mostly from reading some of the replies.
in your opinion... and the more people post on this as time goes by, you are going to see that more and more people do not subscribe to your opinion. Just read these responses, im not alone in my thoughts. You're on quite a roll in this thread. It's just not a very good one.

Not just TV schedules but all the logistics involved, they chose the least disruptive path. This decision affects a smaller number teams and less complicated than involving all the playoff teams. It would've affected a weekend of programming for the TV networks (the week before the SB). They're paying the NFL $10 billion/year. They were part of the discussion.
