Bengals got hosed, big time.

  • Played 7 home games & 9 road games
  • We're winning the Buffalo game & had they won would be resting their players this week
  • Now if they lose to Baltimore this week, are subject to a coin flip & may have a road playoff game even though they are division champs
  • IF they lose to Baltimore, not only do they have a road game, but they would still have a first place schedule next year!
  • And the NFL ignores their own rules which are already in place in case a game wasn't played
IF they win Sunday, this is all moot. Had they won against Buffalo they would be the 2 seed, so another home game. Went from having 2 possible home playoff games to possibly having none.

1. Not Cowboys news

2. This league is a joke

I'm telling you now, there will be a thousand rule changes over a single rare incident and fans in their emotions will allow owners to take advantage of it. This is why I will never give another cent to the NFL - find sites to watch their games illegally and stop giving owners your hard earned money.

they got screwed for being nice, they could easily have said bite me, get back on the field, but they didn't Precedent was on their side in that the Euro2020 had a similar incident and they finished the game

Bengals had the two seed locked and would pound the bills at home setting up a great AFCCG at Arrowhead, but the cheating and scared Bills ducked their responsibility and a loss in Cincy and somehow gets rewarded for it.

I hope the Bills exit the playoffs in round 1!!

Some of the best games in NFL history have been played in the worst conditions. The most memorable too. This is exactly what separates football from other sports.

Gosh I can't wait for a time when offenses are scoring 100 points a game due to neutered defenses in cozy stadiums because toesies getting cold is too much for a player.
They probably were not the best games but sure they were memorable. It is not what separates football from other outdoor sports

Thy couldnt say lets get back on the field..... they would have been crucified because all we heard for days was that this is about a man's life and the game of football is ust a game that doesnt matter. They made it like we had an either or choice., which was and is ridiculous.

Season tickets includes playoffs in KC?
No but they get first dibs on buying home playoff tickets. My assumption its that if it’s at a neutral site, way less ticket holders get the opportunity to purchase tickets because they would split tickets sales between both teams. But maybe I am incorrect.

But the games dont matter right? Its not important about seeding. The only thing that matters is that young man's health, remember? I was scoffed at for ctually saying that the games actually do matter. Well, apparently the Bengals think the games matter.

Exactly, neither the Bills or Bengals should complain. Not finishing the game that night I understand, but choosing not to complete the game that Wednesday or Thursday is on them. If the Chiefs get the number one seed, those teams have no one to blame but themselves

Im just fine with this. THEY are the ones that didnt push to play the game, so now thy they are the ones that have to deal with the consequences.

And if KC loses, and Cincinnati were to have beat the Bills, then the Ravens Sunday, then Cincinnati would have had HFA.
As of now both Bengals and Cincinnati win and KC loses, it would go to Buffalo.

If any of those 3 teams are involved in the AFCCG, then a neutral site is the way to go.
If Buffalo KC, then in Indy, if Buffalo Cincinnati then in Detroit, those are about equal distances. Indy could still be in play, or even Atlanta.
If Cincinnati KC, same, could still be Indy, but Atlanta possible. Unless they don't care about indoor vs. outdoor, then Tennessee.
Or Jerry World.
Yes all of that too…lol.

Yea, we’ve become much too sensitive society. The league obviously was worried about a backlash for continuing the game . And they should receive more backlash for not continuing the game . What a mess they’ve made of AFC playoffs possibilities.

Let’s assume the kid did die. The games should still go on. And I’m surprised it hasn’t happened before with brutality of game. They didn’t cancel or postpone the game when Daryl Stingley was paralyzed.

I said this several times already, but woman was sucked into the intake of a jet engine at an airport in Alabama last week. Imagine what that looked like. Yet the airline didnt close and those employees still went back to work. That doesnt belittle the fact her death was a horrible tragedy, but life ALWAYS goes on.

I thought the kid had died when it happened . Figured he would at the hospital or before he got there. An hour delay would have been enough.

Is the NFL going to reimburse all of those ticket holders . The league totally bundled the situation.
