Ahmad Dixon Cut

Dixon is not better than Heath. Not by a long shot. Heath has better measurables, more experience, and way better coverage ability. I don't think Heath is good. So, that should tell you something. Anybody who watched the all-22 knows Dixon is not CLOSE to an NFL player

pro-heath, pro-dixon...regardless what side you're on, I think we can all agree that this decade long problem at the safety position is annoying as hell.

Repeat: Ahmad Dixon was never going to get snaps on this defense. He was god awful in coverage, in a passing league. If someone goes down, we will bring in someone else. Dixon is like the 10th option for getting safety snaps. The dude is bad and will be out of the league after 2 years

yeah...a guy w/ 12 tackles in 3 quarters of a game is horrible....Wouldn't want this suckiness polluting our roster:cool:

I just cannot believe that not one safety, on the street or practice squad, is better than Heath.

We need guys that can cover sideline to sideline. 12 tackles sounds great, but that's not good when your safeties our the leading tacklers. IMO Heath has better range at safety and is a good special teamer. I don't get the Heath hate, he came in here and competed and won a spot two years straight now. Everyone in the secondary got burned routinely last year, not just him. He's got starting experience now. Dallas doesn't need in the box safeties. All that said, I hope Dixon is on the practice squad. I like how he plays, but I understand the decision.

It's a matter of trust. Coaches, particularly the coordinator and position coach, do not trust Dixon. Health might suck, but at least he can contribute in special teams. Apparently, even the special team coach does not trust Dixon. Or at least trusts Health more than Dixon.

garret in his press conference didn't really appear like that Dixon was for sure on the practice squad. He did say that wentzel would be on the practice squad.

what all22 is that...its not available for preseason

I have to say I wasn't too big on Dixon after his "explanation" about the hit he was penalized and fined on... It came off sounding like, "Yeah, I did it and I'll do it again because that's who I am."

There's a difference between aggressive and stoopid.

I think it's the same reason that Mitchell found himself out on the street.

The appropriate response is "Im indoctrinating into the process"

I agree 100%. Stupid is not to be tolerated at all. We need to get the dumb off the field and Get players that want to push the envelope but understand the limits and where the lines are.

How many more missed tackles is it gonna take for this staff to realize he just can't play on this level? Seriously......I need a number. Last season he missed..@ least 2 to 3 a game.....so that adds up to around 20-25. Is 30 the magic number? 40? If the special teams coach is the one banging the table for this guy...he can go too because our special teams have stunk too. The only thing saving his job is Dan Bailey.
