I actually like it. The performers can't afford to coast their way into the top 12. On top of that there's no guarantee you get 6 guys and 6 girls. There could be as few as 3 or 4 girls this year. It will be a "true" top 12.

I admit to a thing for Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, and Kristy Leigh Cook. The common denominators are they are all cute and they all went to country music.
