Anyone still think Reggie McNeal can't play QB in the NFL?

A 40 time and how many passing yards someone has are completely different, and for your sake I hope you can see that.

A 40 time is a god given athletic ability that can make some players better than others. 5,000 passing yards in a CF season measn you will bust in the NFL. See Andre Ware.
LOL

Your argument is numbers on a track, no pads, fast watches, and probably months of training for a scenario (40 yards straight running) that will probably happen 1 time in a season matter more than on field production, system or not.

Okay fine, lets say that is his 40 time, McNeal was clocked at a combine for juniors last year at 4.3, 4.32, and 4.34 in 3 consecutive 40's he ran

Until he runs an NFL regulated 40 time, i'll have my reservations about believing it.

When it's that close, I don't see how it really makes a difference.

If Mcneal runs those numbers at the combine, wouldn't they be the fasest ever? Color me doubtful...

McNeal runs a 4.4 flat with pads

Nice try though

However, this post still doesnt make sense. You now know that I am right, stats dont mean everything, and are now focusing on 40 times, which have nothing to do with stats.

No, Sanders ran a 4.2 something, as did Fabian Washington last year

Bob Hayes reportadly ran a 4.18, but that was in the 60s with 60 technology and low accuracy stop watches, so take it for what its worth.

It doesnt, but the point is Vick is, at the most, only as fast as Reggie

They're around the same athletic ability. Vick does some things better than McNeal and vice versa. I don't see why you think he can do any better than Vick in the NFL.

Considering Vick is the biggest fruad in NFL history, I really think he CAN be btter. He might not, but he CAN be. He is much more accurate

Production means a lot more than 40 times at the qb position.

He's not that big of a fraud. He kind of sucks, but he handed GB their first home playoff loss in like 25 years, and Atl's west coast experiment has handcuffed him pretty hard.

He is the closest thing to Young and McNeal in the NFL, so he is what they'll be compared to... and rightfully so. They share a ton of similarities.

Not in the fun and gun offense it doesnt

Or wait, do I need to explain the fun and gun offense? I wouldnt ask, but I have this humerous image of you sitting there, wondering *** I mean by "fun and gun". I'll also help you understand equally gimmick offenses, the run and shoot, the spread, and the flexbone if you need me to. I am here to serve.

McNeal? Yes

Young? No

Vick is 6', 205

Young is 6'5'', something like 230

Young is slower, but runs harder and breaks tackles

Young wont beat NFL defenses with his running like Vick, but wont get hurt as much and will break tackles like Vick cant.

So? He is still the closest thing to VY in the NFL. I never defined how close they are.

What are you even basing this on?

Watching Vick for the past 5 years

The man simply can't throw a football with any semblence of accuracy. McNeal's completion % isnt great, but in the offense he was in, he threw downfield nearly 50% of the time. He wont be doing that in the NFL.

Actually, Young Reminds me more of a taller, slightly faster version of Steve Young.

Stats are stats... don't compare Vick's NFL stats to McNeal's college stats... it's not fair. Vick's accuracy in college was the same as McNeal's.

Funny man, I know what it is, I also know scouts aren't fooled by gimicky offenses. There is a reason Grossman went in the first round, he has a strong arm, intelligent and has good pocket presence. If not for his injury problems he would probably be a solid NFL qb.

You should really stop with the degrading, it works both ways "Grossman wasn't a top 25 heismann prospect."
