Putting 56 on Washington has many believing we’re Super Bowl bound. We’ll see how many are still on board after tomorrow or the week after that. Lol
With these high aspirations the fall could be even tougher in playoffs. But I’m thinking some will be much happier losing in playoffs with this HC.

The expectations for this team are far too high for fans to give any love to McCarthy if we lose in the playoffs. The severity of the backlash he gets will come down to how we lose and how soon we lose. He was hired to win it all and most fans won’t accept anything less than a championship.

Maybe with a better HC we’ll finally accept our opponent we lose to is a better overall team and organization.

What if we DON’T lose? I know several on here will be disappointed if that happens. They won’t have anything to ***** and moan about.

If we win a championship then McCarthy will be immortalized for saving our franchise.

And the 1st HC to ever win it for another franchise.

That was my main motivation in creating this poll now.

It will be interesting to see how the minds of fans change for better or worse depending on how the Cowboys season plays out at the end.

I know one thing for sure fans won’t accept losing to the Packers. The fan base is beyond frustrated losing to Rodgers and the Packers in the playoffs.

They’re going to accept it more with McCarthy.

The mindset will definitely change for a good majority of fans if the Cowboys don’t have playoff success. This is a frustrated fan base that’s been waiting a long time. Take a poll after a one and done in the playoffs or a loss to the Packers and you’ll see the change in mindset. lol It only figures a high percentage of fans are happy with him now with the team riding a four-game winning streak and coming off a 56 point demolition. That beatdown of Washington has fans not only thinking deep playoff run but Super Bowl.

Im happy with MM until we have to say goodbye to Quinn.

If we don’t lose it will be a party like we’ve never seen on this board. How sweet that would be! :yourock::dance::oldcouple:

I plan to post this and a couple other polls after the season ends to see how they change, again for better or worse.

They will not be for call-out purposes, but rather just to see how general fan opinions change over the course of the season.

I don’t think so. Expectations are higher with him because he’s had success and he’s won a Super Bowl.
But they aren't as likely to blame him. Because he has won a SB.

They’ll be looking for other scapegoats or might finally accept we were beaten by a better team. Something we’ve struggled accepting this era.

Just a hunch, but I feel the Cowboys may continue steamrolling opponents. McCarthy has the juice.

I’m not sure how fans couldn’t be happy overall with how the season is going thus far. Now who we credit for this success could vary.

They aren’t going to care that he won a Super Bowl 11 years ago with the Packers. He didn’t win that championship with us. No one on a football team is a bigger scapegoat than a head coach. Sure, you’ll have a lot of fans that will blame Dak because there’s a lot of Dak haters. He gets blamed even when he plays well. The only way the fans are going to accept a loss in the playoffs is if we go deep and we’re competitive in the loss. If we lay an egg in the first round then McCarthy and Dak will get the brunt of the blame. Kellen Moore will also be right up there taking the heat. Even Quinn will get roasted if the defense doesn’t play well. This past week expectations for the team have really grown. It’s Super Bowl or bust for some fans.

Those are the kind of fans who don’t interest me looking for scapegoats.

If we finally have good coaching then that’s not what is going to hold us back.
