XMen is the only comic I ever read regularly. I liked it much more than any of the movies.
I loved the movies

I wonder if they're ever going to give Rogue control of her power. That bothers me, because she was one of the most powerful XMen.I loved the movies

Interesting question and observation. Originally, it was Rogue's mutant ability than stole Carol Danvers powers, giving her powers of flight and super-strength. Her powers usually only absorbed someone's abilities and lifeform temporarily but her assault on Danvers was so savage that her absorption was permanent.I wonder if they're ever going to give Rogue control of her power. Logan and X-Men: First Class remain my personal favorites of all the X-Men films. And all the rest start at a distant third and lower on my favorites list after those two.Fox has never gotten the mileage out of the X-Men movie franchise. The films that did succeed did so DESPITE FOX, not BECAUSE of them. They barely scratched the surface of what they had, and screwed up stories and timelines so badly that halfway through they had to hit the reset button and retcon their own screwups.
I can't wait to see what Marvel might due with the property, I just fear things will go back to the days where everything had that X on it.
Dang it. Your number 1 and 2 never occurred to me. Good stuff.
Glad to help. Let me know what you think of it if you do watch it.

Now I am holding my breath waiting to see what FOX did with Dark Phoenix, one of the most notable storylines in both comics history and publishing companies. Knowing FOX, I will asphyxiate myself waiting on them to do the story TRUE justice.
When it comes to the mutant characters (and others recently acquired), I am a lot like Princess Leia. "Help us Marvel/Disney. You're our only hope."
Good documentary. Left feeling almost everyone involved was trying their best to make the best movie possible given what they were working with. That's my favorite kinda B movie, low budget but doing the best they can with what they got. Irritates me when you try to watch one where it comes across as a half *** production.
I agree with the one guy that they should release the movie officially, one as the original and spend some money to redo the cgi. I would buy it.
I had no idea she stole her powers from Carol Danvers. BTW, do you watch Supergirl?...Her last name is also Danvers. I don't know if that's just on the WB series or in the comics too, but it's a strange coincidence.Interesting question and observation. Rogue has been a FOX property until recently. Disney and Marvel introduced Captain Marvel recently. Both *should* share the same Earth-616 universe at some point in the future.
The stage is set for Rogue to become the character that made her famous among comic book readers. The only questions are:
Will Disney/Marvel plan for the characters to meet down the road?
When could that meeting actually happen?
Will they go a different route with Rogue's character?
Or will we be forever stuck with a weak Anna Paquin type imitation?
He looked a lot older than he would've been, had he only gone back to 1970, IMO. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but he looked to be about 80. To be honest, I was surprised he ages like a normal human.Heyyyyy.... the correct theory (of the day) is.... lol
Steve goes to 1970.
Sees Peggy.
Sees his photo on desk.
So... at the end of endgame he goes back to THAT 1970 timeline. Because when he went in 1970 he was already existing there (from 1945-ish)
This theory is possible because the Russo brothers already said his endgame ending was an alternate timeline.
Voila! .... errrr. I think...
The second trailer looks better than the first. They're definitely going much deeper into the duality of her character(s).When it comes to Dark Phoenix? I'm just looking to get through it and be done with Fox's X-Men.

I think you're right. I hadn't really considered how long it'd been since the first Captain America movie, or that the funeral scene was in the future. There's about 15 years right there.Let's assume he was 18 when he entered the super soldier program. He becomes Captain America and operates for a year or so before getting frozen at age 19. He gets thawed out in 2011. In 2023, he is the equivalent of 31(not counting the frozen years) when he decides to go back to 1970. Then he ages another 53 years to the scene when he is an old man in 2023. That would make him 84 or at least in that age range.
I agree that because of the super soldier serum he wouldn't/shouldn't age as a normal human.
The scene where he is dancing with Peggy looks like it was from the late 40s or 50s, so add in another 20+ years and he would be over 100.
nah. I got away from Supergirl. It quickly became to campy for my tastes. Plus, I did not appreciated Warner Bros/The CW separating certain characters and the shows they are based in on different Earths. And do not get me started on my opinion of Kara's cousin Kal-El usage on her show.I had no idea she stole her powers from Carol Danvers. BTW, do you watch Supergirl?...Her last name is also Danvers. Her name is Kara on the show. The writing is terrible, but there are far too many gorgeous girls for me to not watch it.nah. I got away from Supergirl. It quickly became to campy for my tastes. I wonder if there are many coincidences between comic book publishers. The DC Supergirl character was adopted by a couple named Danvers.
That is how Linda, her first name, and her last name for her Earth identity comes from. She was given the name in the early 60's. Ms. Marvel was created after Supergirl by Marvel in the late 60's. The latter character was 'birthed' Carol Danvers, whose superhero character evolved in time into Captain Marvel.
Yep. 'Kara' was one of the little changes made in this show, essentially combining her Kryptonian name and her adoptive parents (played by Dean Cain and Helen Slater) last name. Her name is Kara on the show. The writing is terrible, but there are far too many gorgeous girls for me to not watch it.
The Superman franchise loves to recycle actors, don't they? Teri Hatcher played a role in this series, and if I remember correctly, so did Erica Durance (hottest Lois Lane to date, IMO).Yep. Not sure why the show's creators did not use the same naming philosophy with her cousin. Superman's alter ego should have been Kal-El Kent or Kal Kent for short.
It is highly likely Allison Mack will not be recycled anytime soon. The Superman franchise loves to recycle actors, don't they? Teri Hatcher played a role in this series, and if I remember correctly, so did Erica Durance (hottest Lois Lane to date, IMO).
Yeah, that's a shame about her.It is highly likely Allison Mack will not be recycled anytime soon.
