Beckham begging not a good look

Do you feel like this about all the teams that are courting OBJ or just us? Are you aware that every team is doing this same media run as well?

Sometimes I think we look at this team in a vacuum without considering how the leagues culture is changing. The days of tight lipped commenting are over lol. Get used to talkative players and opinions from all over. As media and social media grow, so do the Q&A’s with players. Can’t shake our fists at the sky forever.

It would be a mistake, dak couldn't get the ball to Cooper consistently, what makes anyone thing he'll get the ball to Obj,hell he hardly targets lamb and Gallup on a regular basis..but he loves Schultz for those 3yd gains...lol

I think that’s the issue..

He’ll be a role player here. And could certainly be very good. But the talk is like we’re getting a superstar #1. That’s not the case. He’s not that player from his early Giant days. So the begging in this situation just seems odd considering the injury and the part he’ll play in the offense.

You wouldn't know this team is 6-2 with a top 5 D and a pretty good path to the playoffs with all of this begging for Beckham to be a Cowboy.

Do they all have to talk about everything?

This team needs to shut up and play football.

All this OBJ talk by the team and fans certainly doesn’t say much for our WRs.

I like CeeDee and Gallup, Noah Brown has done a good job as well but the problem is there is nothing behind them. Hope Washington comes back can help out but overall there is little depth and I think at a fair price OBJ could be a big addition to this group. As I have said not looking for a savior just looking for a vet player who can come in and help out.

so Lamb isn't the answer. lol if he swipes his nose more can he be number 1?
Honestly , that gets on my nerves. When Zeke did the feed me thing, it didn't bother me, because Zeke although his stats have gone down, at one time was a top back and /or best back in the league. Physically he just doesn't have much anymore. Ceedee on the other hand has shown me some things I don't like. Ie, not fighting for the ball, avoiding contact and dropped balls. So whenever he does the nose wipe it rubs me the wrong way, especially if he is struggling with his focus that game.

If CeeDee was everything we wanted in a number one receiver or Michael Gallup hit the ground running after returning and was putting up big numbers, all this talk about trading for a WR or bringing in OBJ wouldn’t be happening. It was reported the Cowboys were willing to give up a number two pick for Cooks. We don’t have a receiver that scares anyone who frees up other receivers. Just three weeks ago on 103.5 The Fan they were knocking our receivers. They said they don’t battle for the ball. CeeDee got blamed for an INT that Dak threw because he didn’t go after the football. He’s going to end up being the odd man out when the big contracts come up for Diggs and Parsons. The Cowboys won’t be able to pay all three of those players. They proved with Amari Cooper they won’t invest a lot of money in a WR if the production isn’t there. We’ve seen at least three other teams move on from WRs because of money.

I don't know, outside of the top 3 Lamb, Gallup and Brown there is a lot of questions, we have rookies who have yet to show they are ready. WR position is thin, we take an injury and that could be hard to overcome. I'm all for OBJ but at a decent price, I don't see him as the be all to end all, I see him as a vet who has been there before who runs great routs and has good hands that could help out in freeing up others and give Dak another legit target. As for what happens down the road we will find out, people too often take 1 play out of a season to make a point but it is the overall play that interest me.

OBJ is coming off his second knee surgery in two years, hasn't played a down in 2022 and the Boys are thinking about signing him???????? Sounds like someone in the front office needs surgery too, but on their brain.

Hey, if OBJ could catch passes from Eli, he can catch 'em from Dak!

I don't believe that even if CeeDee and Gallup was balling, adding another piece would still be intriguing, this could be what changed their mind, the nfc being down and with them at 6-2 defense looking stellar and being in the contender talk, they realize its time to go get it. Odell could be that defining piece.

No team is going to consider giving up a number two pick for a WR if they’re happy with their top three receivers. The move is about our top three receivers. Noah Brown hasn’t caught a ball since the Detroit game. The Cowboys are looking for a speed threat to add along side CeeDee and Gallup. We need a receiver with speed that can stretch the field and take some coverage away from CeeDee and Gallup. We failed to trade for Cooks and now we’re seriously looking at OBJ, which points to some desperation. In training camp everyone seemed to think Jalen Tolbert would be one of our top three receivers and he’s having trouble just getting on the field. No one planned on him being a bust up to this point but that’s exactly what he’s been. As for overall play, CeeDee’s play hasn’t been bad, but it hasn’t been great either. When you listen to the people who get paid to talk football, they all seem to agree that he hasn’t stepped up as a number one receiver. Most seem to think he would be a great number two receiver or in the slot but he’s not a number one receiver.

Fact is Dallas did not make the deal for Cooks, desperation is you make it. I think this group is thin no matter how you cut it, you have 3 WR that is it, the rest are guys who have yet to prove anything in pre season or reg season. We get his with any injury we have nothing to replace them with. I have no issue what so ever about bring in a WR regardless of how Lamb is playing you need more than 3 it is really that simple

If CeeDee and Gallup were balling, we wouldn’t be looking to add another WR. You score points in the passing game and our passing game has been down this season which has kept our points down. We had our best passing game against Chicago and our offense ended up scoring 42 points. The Cowboys are looking to put more TDs on the board and you do that in the passing game. Our top three receivers aren’t getting it done which is why were looking to add a speed threat.
