If CeeDee and Gallup were balling, we wouldn’t be looking to add another WR. You score points in the passing game and our passing game has been down this season which has kept our points down. We had our best passing game against Chicago and our offense ended up scoring 42 points. The Cowboys are looking to put more TDs on the board and you do that in the passing game. Our top three receivers aren’t getting it done which is why were looking to add a speed threat.

Not totally true, you never stop adding talent. you really need 3, that's why they signed Washington and drafted Tolbert.

Fact is Dallas did not make the deal for Cooks, desperation is you make it. I think this group is thin no matter how you cut it, you have 3 WR that is it, the rest are guys who have yet to prove anything in pre season or reg season. We get his with any injury we have nothing to replace them with. I have no issue what so ever about bring in a WR regardless of how Lamb is playing you need more than 3 it is really that simple

They weren’t desperate enough to give up a number two pick and guarantee a WR who’s been traded a few times $18 million for next season. They knew when they were trying to negotiate a deal for Cooks, that if it fell through OBJ would be an option.

They tried to make a deal with Denver and Judey as well. I don't think rams were not desperate when they signed OBJ nor do I think Cowboys are desperate but it is an area of concern. I think more was expected from Tolbert that has not happened and the rest of the WR show yet to show they are ready. I think Cowboys see a way to help this team and are looking to make a move to get OBJ. A lot will depend on what he is asking for

You just mentioned Washington who’s about to start his practice window. They also have Jalen Tolbert who they haven’t given up on. The reason the Cowboys have been trying to make a move at WR is because the top three receivers haven’t been good enough and James Washington isn’t any better than those three nor is Jalen Tolbert who’s been a disappointment. If the Cowboys thought real highly of Washington they would just wait it out until he’s ready to play. He’ll probably be ready to play before OBJ will. If Jalen Tolbert had been panning out this season the Cowboys wouldn’t be looking to make a move at WR. They seemed fine going into the season with the WRs they had but it hasn’t worked out the way they hoped, forcing them to have to look for another option.

The Rams were going all in to win the Super Bowl last season and lost Robert Woods to an ACL in November, which is why they signed OBJ. They would’ve never made that move had Woods not been injured. The Cowboys are looking to make a move because their top three receivers haven’t been as productive as they hoped. They made the bad decision of moving on from Amari Cooper during the offseason and it’s caught up with them. It took a number of games into the season for them to realize they need help at WR. They haven’t had a 100 yard receiver all season.

Exactly what I've been saying ,They have no idea what they have in Washington, Tolbert hasn't been what they expected to this point. add to that the defense is ready and they can use another big time threat on offense to put them on par with the defense. Odell is available now and wont be forever, they don't have time to wait on Tolbert and Washington.

They have an idea what they have in Washington he’s been in the league for a number of seasons. The Cowboys are looking for a more dynamic WR. Everyone is having to wait on OBJ because he’s not ready to even practice yet. Some reports say he might not be ready until December. With all the time he’s missed he might not provide much help.

I have a different view of Lamb, he is putting up better numbers than Cooper and much of it with backup QB. I trust Lamb can do the job despite what the guys on the FAN say, I know they are player but hell Bradshaw was a player and will tell you how great a QB is and by the end of the day rip into the same QB. I also disagree that they made a bad move on Cooper, I think they got hosed on the trade value but fact is heading into March this team was over the cap already and they traded him and were able to get under the cap, they then restructured some other deals, could they restructure his deal as well yes but you still got to pay that money down the road and looking down that road we got some big players that are must players we need to get done. How big of a player Cooper? I don't know we are 6-2 right now I doubt he would have us at 8-0

CeeDee is being targeted more than Cooper was last season. He received a lot of targets while Michael Gallup was out. It doesn’t matter what the guys on The Fan or anyone else has to say the Cowboys were looking to give up a number two pick for a WR. That tells you what they think of their current WR group. Everyone but a few fans on this board think the Cooper move wasn’t bad. It was a terrible move even if we would’ve gotten good value for him. Not having him as had a huge negative affect on our passing game. Our backup QB had a 300 yard two TD game with him on the field last season.

No if OBJ ask for a lot then chances are he will not be here. I mentioned Von Miler because unlike fans here he knows, OBJ he has played with OBJ and has a better understanding of OBJ than knuckleheads around here. Would I take Von Miller view over yours on this matter? 100% every time
Do expect Von Miller to say anything negative about any of his buddies in the NFL?
I'm glad you didn't take my comments personally.

Did they make the trade? No. a 2nd rd I would have as well but not contract portion. Lamb has played much of this season with a backup QB, I would hold my horses before claiming he is not that good and OBJ would not come in as a #1 WR.

I would expect Miller not to want him on the team if he felt OBJ was such a cancer. He and other Bill players are as Cowboys are actively recruiting him, you don't do that with guys you know to be a locker room problem

They didn’t make the trade because they didn’t want to guarantee him $18 million for next season. I’m not saying CeeDee isn’t that good, I’m saying he’s not a number one receiver. I think he’s a very good receiver, but not in that role. I agree with those who say he would be a terrific number two or in the slot. I’m also not saying that if OBJ if signed he would come in as our number one receiver. He would come in, probably as a third receiver to give us a speed threat to draw some coverage over to him.

Listening to Jerry and Stephen they thought CeeDee would be that dynamic receiver. This is one of the reasons they moved on from Cooper and didn’t go after a better receiver than Washington in free agency. Stephen kept repeating they like their guys.

and he still can be, doesn't mean they shouldn't bring in another if they're able too.
you don't see Philly, KC, or Buffalo resting

Jerry should go to everyone and ask for an immediate pay cut to all who are begging to make room on the cap for OBJ..you want him that bad, pay his salary.:muttley::popcorn:

Is this some new idea of yours? This is how Stephen handles all free agent negotiations.

If they bring in OBJ they’re adding damaged goods. He hasn’t practiced or played since February. He may not provide anything but some are acting like we’ll be getting the OBJ of old.

I don't think anyone is thinking we would get the OBJ of old. even if we get the OBJ of the playoffs last season is a huge lift. to think he won't provide anything is crazy.

He'd definitely take some of the focus off the others, simply because of what he has done in the past. Unless he shows himself to be absolute trash, the thought of him waking up would be enough, I think.
